I just finished my third pickup truck ever. I needed a Ford truck in the mix. I painted this model in Tamiya "Dark Yellow" which really doesn't look yellow with a coat of "wet look" gloss clearcoat. I didn't like the idea of not having chrome bumpers so I applied BMF on front and back bumpers. Stock side mirrors were not included in the kit so I used the ones for the service vehicle option. Engine was painted in Model Master "Ford Engine Red" enamel brush paint. Have a look and thanks for checking her out.

I like it...The only thing that makes this look like a model is the mirrors...the sink marks.. but I have an ideal you cant paint the marks amber. would look like reflectors

Thanks everyone for all of these great comments. I wasn't sure at first if I liked the way the model turned out.

Andre...thanks for the tip regarding the mirrors. I got looking at this closer and they are not sink marks but rather raised circles which I am thinking are suppose to be reflectors. With having said that I have gone ahead and painted them amber.

You know that quote about great minds.. I love those mirrors in the '53 Ford kit, I've used them on a bunch of my old truck builds.

Ditto, great choice in color and great job with build!

I am going to have to pick up another one of these during Christmas...you have me inspired to build a stocker.

It was love at first sight for me, excellent job. This looks like the kind of vehicle I would see on a lot and end up driving it home on impulse. Beautiful!
