I'm losing it...... forgot why I left a comment on this topic, now I know. I was dumb luck that I searched eBay one night, and found this for sale by a vendor who must not have known how rare these are. After getting it, think I know why it didn't last longer than initial production. I'm bummed the seats are missing, but that wouldn't be impossible to fabricate. So nix this from the ghost category. 1
tim boyd Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Just wow...today I visited with a very long time (45 years...) friend and very well-known model car builder and historian, who had recently relocated within a few hours of where I live. He showed me something I had never seen or heard of until now...a blueprint of a one=page exploded view concept blueprint for an addition to AMT's Trophy Series kit lineup that apparently never made it beyond this point of development. I tried to take some pictures of the blueprint but it was far from optimal conditions for photography. That, and my present project moving my business office means it will be a few days before I am able to download the photos and see if/how they turned out. Under any circumstance, though I will post more details and possibly a few images as a separate (new) topic in this part of the forum. Best....TIM 2 1

ChrisBcritter Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 A car YOU didn't know existed? OK, that lets out the stillborn '58 Plymouth, or '48 Ford or '32 Ford 3-window that came out in other scales. My interest is piqued!
paul alflen Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 It must have been Dennis Doty! as far as the car, I'll guess the Jordan Playboy, Muntz Jet or a Hudson Jet?

DING DING DING on the person I visited, but no on the guesses. The proposed kit topic was far more esoteric (in my view, and I suspect Dennis would agree) than even those you list above. Good guesses, though, Paul. Best...TB
keyser Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 @tim boyd More esoteric than a Muntz Jet. ???? Ghia 6.2L coupe? 911 you knew about, it’s not esoteric. Maybe Pierce Silver Arrow. A: please spill B: hope you’re working on book with DD and some others. ? Haven’t heard about Mr. Doty in ages. Hope he’s well and thriving. Made it thru Covid so there’s that. Best to him and you both.
Richard Bartrop Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Okay, I knew I'd seen the Miller mentioned before, but it was as an MPC kit. If it was designed to the same standard as their other classic car kits, I'm sure the finished model would have looked amazing, even if putting it together cost you your sanity.

Little Timmy Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 (edited) I would LOVE LOVE LOVE To get my hands on an AMT Miss Budweiser ( make that 3 or 4 of em ! ) Edited September 6, 2023 by Little Timmy

Check it out... Imagine an alternate world where this was more popular than the Model T and we ended up with thousands of C(hevy)-bucket hot rods! That would be a fun scale project actually - plus the other variations shown on that concept drawing…
