SfanGoch Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Yeah...surely you can find a priest who's not cleared for little boys anymore but who still works with spirits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tDNCkcC47eQ
blunc Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 roof rats got into the single story apartment I used to live in and the apartment management still hadn't resolved this by the time I moved out.there was a constant night time stampede through the ceiling, the rats chewed through the drywall, got into food packages and marked their territory. "marking their territory" means peeing or spreading their poo on things....this happened in our cupboards on our pots and pans which I didn't notice till the horrible smell after the pans heated up on the stove.I think one got stuck in the air conditioning heater doe to the horrible stench when it got cold enough that I needed to turn on the heat.I was so glad to be out of that place!
charlie8575 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Have you considered calling in an exorcist? If these things can't be gotten rid of, it's a reasonable option...If they'll do it for a Congregationalist, I'm game at this point.Charlie Larkin
charlie8575 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 My browser just got hijacked, with some fake warning accusing me of all kinds of unsavory (and very illegal) things from "The FBI," and then offered to sell me protection. These crooks are sinking lower and lower everyday.Charlie Larkin
1930fordpickup Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Peanut butter on a cracker inside of the trap works fine. Just remember the smallest have a heart trap does not work on a full grown tree rat. there butt keeps the door open. Get your self a pair of the leather gloves that have a cuff over the wrist. Tom made a good point about relocating them as it is not legal here to move them.
1930fordpickup Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Had to drive a hot Job down to a plant the other day for work. 70 mile trip and only about 12 miles was not through the orange barrels and concrete blocks. Now this is the second and third year for a good portion of this drive. Good thing it was in the early AM as more traffic would have drove me crazier than I already am.
dshue76 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 If you want to catch mice in traps with reliability use gummy bears. Just be sure it is mashed onto the trigger. First it makes the trap more sensitive, second mice love em, third no amount of light touch gets the mouse any gummy goodness.
dshue76 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 What irked me is breaking the tip off in my only airbrush last night. Luckily I got the broken threads out of the body and will have to use the next larger size setup until my parts get here Tuesday. Live and learn I guess. If you have a Paasche Talon TG then consider using Teflon tape on the tip threads to seal them, tightening to stop the bubbles in the cup is what lead to my problem. I saw a Youtube video where a pro used the tape method. I think it will be the way to go.When this happened I had just mixed up some custom paint for the 83 Hurst Olds interior in a cup since all of my jars are in use. With nothing to store it in I had to toss it.

I'll have to try it.Last 20 or so rats I caught (I live in a wooded area in an old house the critters always find ways in to) couldn't resist Spam's greasy meaty goodness.

Harry P. Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Careless smoking by pigeons, or mice playing with matches. Both can be very dangerous. GNothing worse than a raccoon with a lighter. Those guys are born arsonists...

Ace-Garageguy Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I can picture a raccoon being able to flick a Bic Lucky they haven't evolved opposable thumbs...yet.

GTJUNIOR Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Went to my local super market an saw an idiot parking in a disabled parking bay. No disabled sticker on his fancy Mercedes, casually got out of the car and walked quite comfortably into the store to do his shopping. Came back 20 minutes later with a shopping cart full of purchases and proceeded to load it all into the trunk before driving off as if he had done nothing wrong. While waiting for my wife to return I saw an old lady looking for a suitable parking space to park so that she would not have to walk to far with her goods. She had a disabled sticker on her wind screen and ended up having to park quite a distance from the entrance and struggle to get out of her vehicle and walk with her walker to the store. If the idiot in the Mercedes had parked in a normal parking bay a few spaces away, the old lady would not have had to struggle so much. Some people are so inconsiderate!

Even a tad too much black leaves the color muddy and bland.G
Agent G Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 This is Testors "Dark Red" on the dash and console. I used "Flat Red" with a touch of blue for the seats and "Flat Red" and "Flat Black" for the carpet. See how brown and muddy the carpet looks? Ok for carpet, not for seats IMHO. G

A LOT of people don't obey traffic laws and think that the laws are for "other" people and not them.
crazyjim Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Used to work with guy that had disabled plates on his truck. Anytime he'd see someone parked illegally in a handicapped space, he'd pull his truck up real close so the violator couldn't get out. Then he'd call the cops. They'd come out and write a ticket and were then told to please call a tow truck to have the car removed.
vintagedragcrazy Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 We have a similar problem around here the people that haul Amish around mostly have handicap plaques park in the handicap spaces and sit and wait for their Amish people in the stores that's not right if that driver is not going into a store and hauling able bodied people for money should not be using up handicap spaces. That's something that really irks me!!!Vince
crazyjim Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Went for the MRI on my brain this morning and the neurologist called this afternoon with results. I have a cyst on my brain that's running interference on a nerve for my left eye. Next appointment will be with a neurosurgeon to find out when they'll open up my skull to do the repair. I'm REALLY scared now.
cobraman Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Sorry to hear that Jim. Who wouldn't be scared ? Try and stay strong and keep a good thought that all will be ok.
crazyjim Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Thanks Ray. I've been depressed with the double vision. Today's news just thoroughly kicked my ass.
