Thinking I got the fuel issue with my truck fixed and still having the fuel pump shut off.... New pump, new tank, new sending unit, new fuel pump relay, new ignition control module, new plug wire, new coil, new cap, new rotor, and new fuel filter.  About ready to bypass the computer control and put it on a switch to where I can control on and off. (1990 Chevy Silverado)  But hey ... when it does run, it runs great!

And not getting a large coffee this morning for myself lol.

That's just it.

I tried to use my warranty, but they said it's not covered for rock damage.

There was a W H O L E  very heated argument about it. I was using it for its intended purpose, but apperently  just looking at it voids the warranty.

Before you bypass the computer control, go the the wiring harness connectors that plug into the computer. Push EACH wire individually INTO the connector and make sure each wire connection is tight. Also, check your body grounds and make sure they're clean, tight and there is no corrosion. Another step, especially if your truck has ever been in an accident, is follow the fuel pump wiring harness from back to front and make sure all the connections are tight.

I will do a double check on the connections to the computer, and I can add more grounds to the truck, I have quite a few new ones. The one for the tank I scraped it to nice shiny metal and reconnected it. No accidents for my truck at all.

Thanks for another idea!

The relay runs the pump for PRIME, the oil pressure sender closes the circuit through the ecm when running. Check the sender and harness. Fairly common on gmt400 trucks. The a.c relay is the same as the fuel pump, you can swap them to rule out a faulty relay, if you have a.c. There is also a fusible link in the circuit, check the connection at the firewall

Disconnect the fuel pump relay with the engine running. If the engine dies, the oil pressure switch is bad. This is actually a fairly common cause of intermittent engine shut-offs on the 2.5 liter Iron Duke engines used in USPS "LLV" route trucks. Weird thing is, the engine WILL start and continue to run with the faulty oil pressure switch.

@Tim W. SoCal @johnyrotten Dudes... thank you!! I will be checking this out. (Barring I can get the engine running, last time prior to replacing the relay you show, it wouldn't start)

And the thing that irked me... ok mildy annoyed me: My CRT tv died that I use for my PS1/PS2 systems so now having to get a RCA to HDMI adapter. (And find a place to pitch that big old dead tv-Picture tube died, powers on but no picture.)

Here's something to be happy about: if it was a real Ferrari, the job would have probably set you back $4500...just because.   :D

I know right?  Got this because it's a Chevy, little did I know... 🙄

I'm always amazed how perfect some guys can make their cars.  I mean look how shiny these smoked chrome wheels are, it's disgusting.

Yeah that is horrible! I mean you can even see the chrome in them... who does that!

But great shot!  I like odd shots and that is a great one!

The air pollution around here lately. Two provinces down and we're getting the smoke from the Saskachewan fires. Icing on the cake is the fire started as some idiot bonfire, though the people did get charged for it. Health risk to be outside but I've got lots of things to do before it rains later this evening so I am going to just have to go out in the smog. Right now the risk level is four, so I should be fine, but yesterday and today would've been sunny clear blue sky but the smoke has made the sky very light grey. Just so annoying, especially since it was a human error that started the fire. Can't even imagine how much worse it is in Sask. Apparently the smoke is drifting over to Europe now.

I usually skip the cars & coffee if its rainy as higher end car don't usually come out as it moves the first floor of the parking deck which is would cut the number of attendees by about 75%.  The local Concours D'Elegance is today and on the Saturday before they have a tour of the country side.  Weather permitting, there is always great stuff.  in the past, Lane Automotive Museum has brought a Messerschmidt, a Tatra, etc.  There has been a DeTomaso Mangusta, and other rare cars.  I passed yesterday as showers in the area I didn't expect much.  This is what I missed yesterday!!!

Well, actually it was yesterday. In the late afternoon we had a rainstorm, cause the lights to flicker a little bit and now the A/C doesn't work. I called for repair. They'll be here Monday afternoon so I have to take off from work a little early.

I'm no AC repairman by any means but the first thing I would check is your breakerbox to see if the circuit breaker tripped off. Could also he a breaker on the inside unit also. At least my unit does.

That's the first thing I checked. I have a feeling it's that big starting capacitor.

Finding out from the USPS that my latest order from Hobbylinc will be running late as far as delivery, HUH??? It's in Tallahassee , sitting at the frigging post office, these people are incompetent buffoons... OH yeah, I still haven't gotten a delivery date... What a bunch of BS, I sent the postmaster in Tally a really nice email informing her  that if I don't get some action SOON, my congressman will be hearing about this problem AGAIN...

One of my little dogs found a dead mouse in the field on our walk today. I kicked at his mouth and kept telling him to drop it but he was having none of that. His solution was to swallow it whole. I freaked out and called the wife and told her to call the vet. When I got home she said to relax. The vet said he might get sick and puke and/or have diarrhea. Oh ok. oh heaven's to Betsy!?!

She asked what if the mouse died from poisoning and they told her there probably wasn't enough to be a problem. Again, oh heaven's to Betsy!? And if nothing bad happens it still has to pass out my dogs butt. That's not a problem either? So I get to fret from now until this ordeal passes. Just got to hope things will be alright.

This year has been terrible for rodents, these little demons damaged our car to the tune of almost $1700 in damage, luckily our insurance covered it..... I've had to pull my dog off of these things more then once this year....

I've heard that in an emergency, you can pour hydrogen peroxide down your dog's throat to make them vomit......... I haven't had to try it yet, though, thankfully!

I had it repaired Monday. Actually it turned out to be an external switch for the furnace. It's circuit breaker was tripped which I never even thought of looking at. The service tech. new right where to go when he arrived too. He asked me where the furnace was and he went right to work replacing that switch and that fixed it.

I was diagnosed as now being diabetic on Wednesday.

Not bad enough for insulin but more big changes in diet.

The Doc wants me on Ozempic. I'm not sure about it.

Might want to check out the possible side effects. Sometimes the cure can be worse than the sickness.
