TFchronos Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) Work in progress over here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=71981&st=0&p=896283 Introducing Mr. Sinister, he's a 32 Ford sedan with twin 426 hemi's. The entire under carrage was scratch built which was first for me. Because this monster is so long and the driver sits so far back I added a laptop which operates cameras mounted to the front of the car for looking left and right for safety. The headlights are in the skulls on the hands and the turn signals are in the eyes of the main skull. The skull on the front is something I modeled with a little program called blender 3d and sent the model to shapeways who then printed it for me. This is my main entry for this years cannonball cbp. I missed out on last years so this year I wanted to do something completly over the top, something that would make George Barris proud. Also my thinking for this years race was to make something so over the top that any cop would just look at it and say to the other "I didn't see that and neither did you." I wont be the fastest or the most practical cross country racer but it will should be one fun ride and in the end that's all I wanted to make. Thanks for looking, and also to everyone who followed the build thank you to you all as well. Edited November 29, 2013 by TFchronos

TFchronos Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 More pics And a few of both entries together.
Roncla Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 If you saw that in the rear view mirror you'd move side. Very creative and well done.
vwdave92 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 That thing is AMAZING!!! I love everything about this build. Mind = Blown

Dinky Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Wow this turned out totally different than I expected Not my taste but credits for this cool ride, I really like what you did to the doors!!
PappyD340 Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Wicked sinister is what I would call it!! Great job Jonathan on a great looking build!!
TFchronos Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 Thank you everyone for the very kind words. I'm glad everyone is liking it.
Lunajammer Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 Excellent hustle Jonathan. I didn't think you'd get both done, but they're both spectacular in their own way. Crazy fun rod.
zenrat Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Awesome. I think you'd have a headache from the noise of the pipes after 10 minutes and the fuel bill would cripple many a developing economy but it's still awesome. See you at the start line.
madhorseman Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Very Cool!!....but I don't think your twin engined terror is gonna go by any officers un-noticed.
A.R.C. Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Those are both so bad Chronos!!!!!!!!! Pure awesomeness in both. The Devil may be driving the GTX but the guy that b***h slapped the Devil is driveing the 32.
TFchronos Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 Thank you again for all the kinds words everyone!
Dr. Cranky Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Oh yes, I love builds like this because they remind me that even though you live a long time you will still never cease to be surprised. Very cool.
geetee66 Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Very creative and unique Bravo for using a 3D printer, too. I reckon we'll see a lot more of that in the future
