New to the site and this is my first completed model in quite a few years. This build I think was one of the hardest I have built since it has a lot of little bits. It is a Revell/Monogram Pro-Modeler series model from many years ago. Overall an easy fitting kit except for a few unclear instructions but overall its a great kit

I am not good at taking pics and i have a lousy camera, so please excuse the poor quality of the photos.

yes, a 48. i mistyped in the title.

Thanks for the nice comments. This is my first 40's style car build. The frame was very complex, but overall i very much enjoyed the build. i am not sure which i am going to do next, but this build has really made me find the enjoyment in modeling again

Michael:

You picked a great project to "re-enter" the hobby with the '48 --- keep experimenting with the camera --- your photos will get better with time ---

Nice build.

Try standing back a little bit with your camera- that can help focus, and possibly benefit your detail shots.

I'm assuming you're using a digital camera- most of them have a macro setting. Try that for your detail shots. If you shoot 35mm/120, a macro lens (if you have an SLR) would be helpful, otherwise, do the best you can. One of the little table-top tripods will also help you to keep the camera stable, allowing you to have better photos.

If you're free on the 26th, try to make the trip to Wayne for NNL-East, the largest model car show on Earth. Over 1000 entries and lots of friends, inspirations, and vendors.

hi

thank you for the information. i was definitely planning on going to the show in wayne. i had gone several years ago and thought it was great.

my camera is a digital camera but its a cheapo i got from amazon for like 35 dollars. its so bad that when i hit the button to take a picture i have to wait 2 or 3 seconds before it actually takes the picture. i will see if i have any ability to change settings but i very rarely take pictures with it that i really dont know a lot of how it works. i usually use my phone to take pictures

Thanks Charlie, when I opened this thread and saw that Michael was from NJ, I was going to mention NNL East, but you beat me to it. Hope to see you both there. Michael if you need any more info on the show go to: http://www.nnleast.com or feel free to either Private Message me here on the board or email me at the address below.
