cobraman Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted elsewhere but it fits here also. Photo of the 78 King Cobra I bought new in 1978. Happened to be at the Ford dealer when it was being delivered. Bought it right off the truck. Pretty cool car that you didn't see too often.
Ron Hamilton Posted April 18, 2014 Author Posted April 18, 2014 I'll be frank, I'm a Chevy Guy at heart, but I have a lot of respect for Ford for what they did with the Mustang. I have a lot of unbuilt kits, and a few builts I have not photographed. I even have a few projects on the bench. Original AMT '64 Mustang Glue-bomb to be restored into a Black on White '64 Hardtop. AMT '67 Mustang GT Fastback This is what I am aiming for with this build. Revell '68 "Bullitt" Mustang Fastback. AMT '73 Mustang FB to be backdated into this... I have many others in the queue, unbuilt, and ready for my retirement. I may get these done this year.
Lunajammer Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 into this... Gonna display it on two wheels Ron?

Ray, that is one Great King Cobra...I owned one too, the exact same colors, difference was mine had T-Tops. I didn't really care for the T-Tops though, my ex drove it mostly. We ended up trading it on a new red and white '84 GT convertible. Charlie Kemp's Cobra II Love what You've done with that Kemp Cobra kit, JC!! Edited April 20, 2014 by madhorseman

Draggon Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Hey Ron, is the Timothy S. Boyd that signed your SVT certificate Funman1712?
FordRodnKustom Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Hey Ron, is the Timothy S. Boyd that signed your SVT certificate Funman1712? Good question Glen. Honestly I have no idea. Anyone?
Danno Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Hey Ron, is the Timothy S. Boyd that signed your SVT certificate Funman1712? Interesting question, interesting thought. "Our" Tim Boyd (Funman1712) recently retired from Ford. Hmmmmm. Coincidence? Fact? Hmmmmm.
Jantrix Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 My lone Mustang build is the movie car from the b-grade sci-fi flick, Cherry 2000, starring Melanie Griffith. I have one more Stang in the works, a '65 2+2 pro-tourer.
Greg Cullinan Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 Here's mine. She sleeps a lot. I bought her around 08 for 13 grand cash. It was a good feeling to own it. She had 23,000 miles then. 35,000 now.
vamach1 Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 The real deal and I'll bring two smaller ones to the NNL east.

I do believe it is.......unless he has a twin at Ford, I remember seeing a picture of him in a 'Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords' magazine or a '5.0 Mustang' magazine years ago........Tim, can you verify this?
