Ajay Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) i suppose I could have built the Tamiya version for an easy life but I saw this one cheap on ebay. It's the Mr Hobby/GSI kit and it fought me all the way to completion.!. It's basically OOB except for lowering and using Replicas & Minatures tires. Colour is Zero Paints Ford Olympic Blue. Thanks for looking Andy Edited April 28, 2014 by Ajay
Greg Wann Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Very nice. I would like a convertible version of this.

BLOODBANE Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I always wanted a Ghia. gonna have to look around and find me a model of one after seeing yours. Nice build.
Silver Foxx Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 This is real nice , love the colour , great stance.
slusher Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Great looking build. Nice touch on the white walls...
PatW Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Nice one! As a previous owner of Beetles and a neighbour with one of these in Dark Green, yes you've done a great job.
om617 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Very nice, the tires and stance makes it look very elegant.
robertw Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Very nice. I would like a convertible version of this. I built this Gunze kit a few years ago and it was a bit of a challenge but with patience produces a nice looking curbside of this classic VW. What I liked about the model was that the hardtop is removable thus creating the rarer convertible version of the Ghia. The vinyl folden tonneau cover doesn't quite have the shape right but that flaw can be easily ignored. I wish this Gunze line of curbside sports cars would be reissued although I'd prefer it if all the interior elements would be cast in hard plastic rather then vinyl. rob
