Psychographic
I really hate making hinges! But I do like things that open. This is my first attempt at making the door fit into the opening rather than swinging outside the body.

Psychographic
They look good. But these corvettes did swing outside the fender Where the heck were you when I was trying to find pics of a door open on this? I could always make new hinges, but as this is a custom, does it really matter? Plus as I said before, I hate making hinges.

Psychographic
The kit I ordered from ebay came in and I dived right into working on the engine. I know most people would've put a small block or big block in this thing, not me, I'm gonna modernize the stock engine a bit. I started with making a header out of 8 pieces of .080 Evergreen. I made the flanges out of 1/8" tube that I bored out slightly to fit the .080 rod. It needs a little sanding, but after four different ideas I like how this one came out. Next up was an intake, again, .080 rod was used for the runners, and some square stock for the plenum with a .030 base drilled to hold the rods. Putting the flanges on the block was easier than putting them on the manifolds. I left the intakes a little thicker, just to add a little interest. Here's what they look like mounted to the engine.
