Chromecop Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I finished this one last week ! Ended up 3:rd Place in a Swedish model constest yesterday!
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Always a fan of frosted canted-quad, bubble-top, spaceship customs with drawer-pull grilles. Nice one.
oldscool Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Wow! Outstanding. I have great respect for you guys that can do extensive body work and make it look good.
Danno Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Always a fan of frosted canted-quad, bubble-top, spaceship customs with drawer-pull grilles. Nice one. LOL. That's almost PRECISELY the same thought I had as I viewed the model and before I saw Bill's comment. Yikes! But true! Great capture of the iconic era of showcar customs. Neat!!
Prince Ital Mike Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Wow, that's really exotic for me, very well done!!!
blunc Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 very 60's...and I mean that in a good way. nice continuity on the custom work. a little wash on the grille might have made it pop a bit more but it's a great build.
DumpyDan Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I followed the build, looks great, congrat on the win.
disabled modeler Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 That is cool...and that is coming from a factory stock kind of guy.
Chromecop Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Very creative. Is that a Deora tail light I see? Thanks for all the kind words on this build. The taillight panel is a modified custom piece from AMT 1970 Impala.
Lunajammer Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Always a fan of frosted canted-quad, bubble-top, spaceship customs with drawer-pull grilles. Nice one. x2
Jantrix Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Most impressive. I'm not a huge fan of bubble tops, but that one looks good.
W-409 Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Very nice work! I'm with Rob, I've never been a huge fan of those bubble tops, but here it looks excellent. All body mods are nicely done and paint job looks flawless, too. It describes well how high quality Customs there are on Swedish Model Car Shows if this was left as third (Even if that's not bad either). Very nice work.
peekay Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Very cool custom and congrats on the third place. I've got this kit on my bench at the moment but I'm doing it stock (of course).
Chromecop Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Many thanks to all of You for the kind Words! I really enjoyed building this one and I'll soon start another Bubble-top custom but right now I'm doing a soft custom 1961 Falcon.
