I've wanted to do an MSP cruiser for a long time, and finally just finished up this one. Learned a whole lot of how not to do it, but overall, pretty pleased with the way it turned out.

Also... is the side window trim done with foil? If so, that's about the nicest, sharpest foil application I've seen in a long time.

What a fine job of Michigan's finest.

I'll have to admit, I've been stopped by a cruiser like that a couple, well, a few times...

Love it. I'm doing the basics right now for five different variations of Minnesota State Patrol cars. So I love see other peoples work on simular subjects. Very nice.

Man, that's a beauty! But dang, that "gumball" is huge! Is it to correct scale?

It probably is a bit oversized (it's from a 1:20 Lindberg kit), but it was that or go with something noticably too small.

Here's the real thing on a newer style Crown Vic-

And yes- that's foil, and if you saw the model in person, you'd notice it's not as neat as it could be. The trim is molded to the body but it isn't quite as well defined as it could be- meaning there are a few slips and less-than-straight edges here and there.

Looks perfect to me. Ive got a picture of the 1:1 in that year and yours looks dead on. I was thinking of doing one of their chargers.

Nice. But, yeah, the beacon's just a little too big. Just not any good options for replicating that particular unit in 1/25th scale.

It sure looks good in the photos!

I like it, seen pics of their 06 Charger and want to make a model of that.

Like your removal of the scuff strips too!

Thanks guys.

That looks great Chuck. Where did you get the wheels?

Those came from Modelhaus- 1992-1997 Ford Police Wheels. They come molded in black resin with separate plated caps.
