jeffs396 Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) Here's what you get when you cross a Heller 1937 BMW 328 with an MPC snap '33 Willys sedan delivery! Still lots of work to do, but it seems to blend together nicely. Looks kinda longish to me, but maybe once its in primer it'll look a bit better. I think the contrasting styrene colors are fighting each other somewhat. You can see how much the BMW was stretched from original by the gap in the running board... DeeCee Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 That is some great thinking there, i think this will be one of those builds that stand out in the crowd, for the right reasons.
PowerPlant Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) I think the V-12 Allison engine would be as snug as a bug in there Edited July 6, 2014 by PowerPlant
John Teresi Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Jeff………that`s really cool…….looking forward to this build
blunc Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 find a twelve-port straight 6 to put in it (or just make one...). the blame for this goes to Tim Boyd, I went off in search of some photos/data based on his request...didn't find what he was looking for but got to read up on some fascinating and innovative history.
blunc Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I think it should be shorter unless you're going for the ambulance/hearse look.
crazyrichard Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) ooh yes that awsome !!! really flows great !! Edited July 6, 2014 by crazyrichard
DumpyDan Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 This looks really cool, and like you said this really blends well. I can't wait to see more.
wayne swayze Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Wow! The side profile really grabbed me. What a cool concept!
Jantrix Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 That is some great thinking there, i think this will be one of those builds that stand out in the crowd, for the right reasons. Couldn't have said it better myself. I think the V-12 Allison engine would be as snug as a bug in there I think it would be too wide, but I'd definitely stretch a V8 into a V12 or something.
BSB Racing Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 I can't believe how well the parts fit. I agree with a prior post to shorten it up. A chop would look very nice as well.
jeffs396 Posted July 6, 2014 Author Posted July 6, 2014 Thanks for the comments everyone I'm getting a chance to tinker with it a bit today...
