HotRodaSaurus Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) I love British cars. The styling is so... spot-on. Even the Morris Marina, which I know everyone hates. The Marina was right at the time, but it just could not move with the times and looked outdated too soon, especially coloured beige. Not what we consider a classic, though that would be debatable if an owner was to describe one. As to what did I see today? A 1958 Oldsmobile 4 door. Quite a rarity in the UK. Joe Handley Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 '58 Olds 4 door, that a rare sight herr in the US any more!
Johnt671 Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Here's some from this weekend. My 1st in class Fiero. A nice Ford with a 428. 1903 Olds.
Joe Handley Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) Seems like around here, the Fiero would be more rare than the stock T! Edited May 25, 2015 by Joe Handley
Tom Geiger Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 What I saw on the news... As I watch the news from the Iraq and Syria, I've noticed that there are a lot of American trucks in the fray. Then there was a feature on one of the news shows... a Chevy pickup with a plumbers signs on the doors. The plumber is in Texas and was getting nasty calls about his truck in the news coverage with a big ISIS gun in the bed. He was on the news coverage. Said he traded it in at a local dealer with the truck still lettered. The dealer said he sent it to auction. The auction is checking their records as to who bought it, and Homeland Security is investigating how the truck got there and into enemy hands.
ToyLvr Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Saw this bit of modern technology in a local shopping center parking lot.
Earl Marischal Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Thanks Rob Hall! Never seen a Kaiser before. steve

Where did you shoot that at, the buildings look like one of the strip malls in Branson, MO.
Rob Hall Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Oh ya, Kaiser. For some reason I thought it was a Packard. Never walked over to it when I took the pic. And it's a 2dr..never seen a 2dr one except in a Collectible Automobile article years ago. There is a 4dr one in a similar blue near here (over around 20th St and Indian School).

Zarana-X Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 Two weeks ago I saw a Jaguar E-type coupe, Like this: , broken down on the side of the freeway. it was a nice blue-grey. Looked really nice. Last week I saw a Lamborghini (newer spaceship looking one) being towed on a flatbed. The other day I saw a Aston Healey, like this: at a stop light. Yesterday, I saw a Dodge Rampage, like this:. That was the most surprising of all, I literally did a double take!
Belugawrx Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 (edited) '58 Chev station wagon....wish I snapped a photo , but I was driving Edited May 28, 2015 by Belugawrx
chunkypeanutbutter Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Rather nice '66 Mustang coupe in bright yellow. Saw it this morning on the bus ride; the guy lives in town and owns a bunch of cars, and this one is the only one well enough to run. It's beautiful, however, Cragar Supertrick wheels and a light-fade cowl hood.
Tom Geiger Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I drive the PA Turnpike when I go to work, so by myself at high speed I'm not likely to take pictures! On my way in this morning I saw a 1950 or so Plymouth Business Coupe. It was on top of a car carrier, riding up top in the rearmost position. The rest of the carrier was empty... I've seen cars in that same position before. Why do they do that? Does that weight far back and high make the thing ride better? Or are they just trying to shake the old Plymouth off? On the way home I saw a mid '60s Land Rover towing a crummy old Datsun pickup. It looked like they went to pickup the Land Rover and realized the Datsun wasn't towing it home. And a bright yellow MG on a trailer behind a Ford pickup. Yes, car weather is in the air!
1320wayne Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Saw this today. A 50 Chevy COE with a mid engine big block Chevy. If you look just behind the cab you can see the shotgun blower hat just sticking up above the body panels.
unclescott58 Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 For some reason I've seen a couple of Mark Vs in the last week or so. Both were in pretty good shape. I thought these all rotted away up here. Scott
Joe Handley Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 I was topping off the 200 tonight and heard this racket coming from the road, looked up to see multiple Porsches, GT-Rs, a couple Lambos, some sort of Mercedes, and that new Lexus RC coupe all running in a pack?!
Mike_G Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Saw yet another Maserati down by the U of O today- this was a different model than the others I've been seeing though. I'm gonna have to take my camera down there one of these days, it's insane.

Shardik Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Speaking of "Old Iron", I spotted something peaking through the trees as I drove up SH 195, and pulled over to find this: Further exploration revealed yet more treasures...

If it was over the 5th wheel with nothing else on the trailer it would get wonky, especially backing up.
forthlin Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 No pictures but I saw a gorgeous '67 GTO convertible drive by my job this morning.
Agent G Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 '69 Camaro, red with black stripes, gorgeous car, an '83 El Camino that looked like it just left the show room and one of the neatest copcars yet. It was a '14 Nevada Hihgway Patrol Charger with retro markings. She had a silver roof over arctic blue body and markings straight from the 70's. Really neat, too bad I was at 80 and couldn't get a pic................... G
dublin boy Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Good day over here today, I saw an original Escort XR3 in white, a mk3 Capri with X pack wide arches, it was perfect. I spoke to the Capri guy and asked him if he saw the red Integrale I saw the previous day,( must be one of a tiny number in Ireland) and it's his!, he has it in a heated garage.
