The70judgeman Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I've seen the same red '71 or '72 El Camino for a couple of weeks parked at a garage(belongs to a mechanic perhaps). Well, today on the way to work it had a For Sale sign on the passenger window. Me personally...not at all interested. Also saw a '54 Chevy done up as a gasser.
Pete J. Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 While getting gas this morning rent a racer! Very nice find Jesse!
jbwelda Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) not really much happening today, but a couple jewels amongst the coal: funny, seem to be at the end of my allocation of storage space. already. huh. oh this is gonna get nasty. anyway common ordinary tuner with purple wheels and maybe that's a body kit or just a crease by crash: common ordinary late model mopar, either isn't from around here or just washed it an hour ago. mustang v2 if I am not mistaken, pretty clean find of the day: Alfa spider I would guess, out by the model airplane airport. some kind of darth vader mobile: something old and theres something else old hidden in the background and finally a couple of pimp mobiles. then the battery died. guess I got to charge this thing every evening. jb Edited August 9, 2015 by jbwelda
lysleder Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 jb, I'd say your black "something old" looks an awful lot like Galaxie LTD's new '47 Chevy coupe. No guess on the green pickup though..
Crazy Ed Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Caught this Shot looking down our Driveway Saturday just before Sunset.
Daddyfink Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 While getting gas this morning rent a racer! Very nice find Jesse! Yeah, he bought it when they got rid of them and has modified it over the years a bit. The "R" apron made me question its lineage until he told me about it some more. He also added some more supportive seats for the occasional autocross. BTW, hope you are feeling better, get better and see you at the next meeting!
Tom Geiger Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Hosted on Fotki New definition of "light" commercial! Our club meeting is in Perth Amboy, NJ. Upon fetching our pizza, this was parked outside. The Perth Amboy cops use at least one of these Suzuki quads downtown. A very quick shot since we were in the way... bad position with the sun blocking out my phone screen so you get my finger at no extra charge! Argh! Edited August 9, 2015 by Tom Geiger

GLMFAA1 Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 A little trouble for a big load: Been driving past this predicament since last Thursday It's transferred the northbound traffic to the southbound lane and closed a cross street. Somebody is losing some big bucks with this rescue. greg
Tom Geiger Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 We were driving back to PA on the New Jersey Turnpike this evening and I thought I was dreaming. All at once I realized I was completely surrounded by Honda tuners! Then I saw that three of them, all side by side (it's three lanes there) all slowed down to about 50mph. This is a dangerous thing since everyone on the turnpike had to slow down from the usual flow of 75-80mph. All at once, they floor it and take off, in a big plume of nasty tuner smoke. They soon caught up to the weekend driver slow pokes, and one of them passed a car in the shoulder, as the three of them shot from lane to lane to pass one another. Stupid, stupid, dangerous people. There were lots more tuners who were just driving normal, even saw a group of four of them together in the shoulder. Then I remembered my friend John said it was Honda weekend at Raceway Park! I must've hit it right at closing time! Once on the PA Turnpike I passed a Dodge pickup with one of those tuner Hondas with the severely canted wheels on a trailer. Guess he couldn't have driven that one all the way to Englishtown! Right behind him his buddy in a Honda CRV, that was as low to the ground as you would dare, followed him. Way too many tuners for one day!
ZTony8 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I bought the Moebius '65 Satellite, some paint for the interior of the '53 Hudson I'm trying to finish, and I scored a deal at Michaels where I got a mismarked Revell '67 Chevelle Pro Street kit for $6.99-the SKU said it was the "77 Trans Am kit.OOPS!
jbwelda Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 (edited) I think you might be looking for the "what did you get today" thread, Tony. meanwhile, I had to go into town (real town, not the village I live by) today, something I grow to dislike more almost every day, but always good for car spotting. first, downtown my town, I always look at these series Benz, like the squatness of them: don't worry, it gets better... though maybe not immediately, next up, a Checker with a for sale sign in the window: and a disco vette that someone stopped caring about along about the time most did the same with disco music: heres a 40ish Ford pickup truck I always see, and the guy is always hanging out in it. he has the hood in the back so it looks funny. kool truck heres some gassy smelling el camino: a shop I pass occasionally, they always have something out front: target parking lot sorry for the glare off the dashboard: more to come jb big fat Porsche: Baja bug: another clean truck: BOOMBOOMDONK!!!BOOMBOOM pick of the day: jb Edited August 11, 2015 by jbwelda
Earl Marischal Posted August 11, 2015 Posted August 11, 2015 Ross,2 absolute classics there but the 5 window just tales it...steve
RancheroSteve Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 I didn't see it happen, but several thousand dollars in damage (and likely some injuries) because at least one of these guys was driving like an idiot. Be careful out there.
