When they did the 6:52 lap time on the Nürburging it was sometimes over the noise limi t on the track 🤩. When the blower starts whining it sounds like hell on a way 😍 2
Falcon Ranchero Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Saw a "Matlock Special" on the road; Though Matlock only had Crown Victorias, there was one episode where he had a Grand Marquis such as this one for 5 minuites of the show before it got blown up. Those are nice cars. 1

Falcon Ranchero Posted July 18 Posted July 18 Rotary Fest car show tonight. Already seeing the Bordertown Classics collection down the road from my grandma's heading down to the grounds. These are real deal cars from Mecum, Barret Jackson, etc. Just seen a '69 Chevelle, and two of the '70 Road Runners heading out. Show doesn't start till 6pm but registration begins at 3pm and there are a lot of cars in the collection so must be getting there earlier to avoid driving them in crowds and heavy traffic. Oh it's gonna be a good show tonight. 1

I read articles a few years ago about that, which is why I also posted the picture in "what irked you today". Good for the goose, and all that I guess. At least I didn't need to get gas.

Tabbysdaddy Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I couldn't get a picture, but it put a big smile on my face. A young girl driving a first generation Bronco II with working a/c and an antique license plate.

This car is special with the car club. The new custodian brought it on a flatbed, but drove it to the club cruise. So sketchy "on the road", but he promised the now deceased Charter Club Member he would drive it to the next show (coming soon). I attended that member's service. And some other vehicles. 3
johnyrotten Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Cool little Nash showed up this morning while I was having coffee. Guy said he was the 4th owner, 26000 original miles 4

At car shows in the sea of camaro's and Mustangs I'll rave over the pinto or chevette.this one made my day. 2

A ratty looking 64-66 Chevy truck with no hood and drag slicks strapped to the roof and a sweet looking 70-73 Camaro that I wish I’d gotten pics of. Maybe someday I’ll be able to afford to build a car and do some of those types of events. Power Tour, Drag Week, and SICK week are on my bucket list. 1
Brudda Posted July 19 Posted July 19 Restored this one a few years ago. Cleaning her up for hot August nights 4
