That's cool!  They didn't get very close with the NYPD graphics - but I love the look of it and the idea!  Way cool!  I'd drive it!

New Aston Martin, big Bentley sedan, Maserati sedan, Cayenne and a couple of Lexus SUVs in some sort of procession on the freeway.  All had their flashers on and were driving together in a line.

No photos either, but while I was driving in Lowell, MA I noticed what I thought was a late '80s or early '90s Ford Escort parked ahead.   When I got closer I realized that it was actually a Mercury Tracer.  I totally forgot that a re-badged Escort was called Tracer.  That also reminded me that there was a re-badged version of a similar vintage Ford mustang.  I think it was called Mercury Bobcat?

Capri, 1979-86.

I loved Lowell when we visited in 2016. Liked the whole area as well.

You're right - thanks!

Yes, Lowell is an old city with lots of interesting architecture (including the old mill district).  I'm glad that those old brick and stone buildings are well preserved and utilized.  Of course, there are some not-so-nice sections too. Same goes for the neighboring Lawrence.

Bobcat was the Mercury version of the Pinto.

Ok thanks. So I did recall the name correctly, but attributed it to the wrong model  car.

Exploring the local neighborhood a little...

And the best one of all was this cool 55 - pity it was too quick for me to snap before it got away ??

Had a trip out today to a coastal area of the country I've never spent any time in before, I was surprised how many older cars we saw. I doubt most of them will be of any interest here, but of those I've uploaded so far.....

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr

The DVLA datebase lists this as a 5.7-litre, which would be a small-block I think?, but the badges say SS 427. Whatever, it looked good.

1985 Ford Escort RS Turbo by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr

These are rare nowadays, and were never very common when new.

1989 Nissan Bluebird 1.8 Premium Plus (T72) by Spottedlaurel, on Flickr

Rather less sporting than either of the above! I've had a couple of these British-built models, they're super reliable even when getting on in years and don't rust too badly either. This particular one was in the film "About Time".

Thanks to my wife for all of the above shots!

Took a road trip yesterday down to the part of Ohio I’m originally from, went down some backroads I haven’t driven in probably 30 years.  One interesting sighting was what I thought was a ‘41 LaSalle moldering in a yard.

OK, thanks Rob.  The history was an interesting read.

It is interesting to see one not red.  I've seen a couple at shows, and they were red.    Great looking firehouse!

Seen one the same color heading east on U.S. 30 while we were heading to Ft. Wayne Indiana today. Never seen one being driven on a four lane highway!
