I don't know how you guys survive in this 100 degree plus heat.  When I see numbers like 115 I just cringe!

When it hits the 90s here in the NJ/PA area, my company will send out Heat Advisory emails, asking everyone to shut down all unnecessary electrical usage to help the electric company avoid outages!  If it hits 95, that's major news and they close schools and businesses. I guess at 95 you guys go out and do yard work?

It will be 92 today and I have the pool temp set at 90, so I will send the day sipping beers in the pool!

It's all relative.   As in 'relative humidity.'  Or, just plain humidity.  You have lots, we don't have any.  {Or, usually - virtually none.}

115 degrees here is no worse than 90 degrees with humidity where you are.

We can run from A/C to A/C, but it's difficult to carry a huge de-humidifier around all day.

But it's a DRY heat!?!

I used to go to Denver a lot on business many years ago.  Aside from the air being thinner,  the dryness got to me.  I had to Chapstick inside my nostrils to keep them from drying out and bleeding.

After 18 years in the West (Colorado Springs, Denver, Phoenix) I'm used to dry climates..   It would be a challenge adjusting to a humid climate again if I move to one..

The client on my 1:1 '47 Caddy convertible / LS build came by yesterday and was grinning like a kid when he left. Today, he brought his (very attractive) adult daughter by to see the car. She loved it. He's happy. He even SAID he's happy. It's nice to have one's efforts appreciated.B)

Your right Danno, i landed in Phoenix in the 90's when vacationing with my family and the temp was 112 in June but was better then the 90's here. I drove up to Williams and stay while we visited the Grand Canyon. Lots cooler in Northern Arizona. I liked it out there...

MrsG and I I just returned from a 10 day road trip to visit the son in Seattle. Rain, humidity and cool temps were nice for a change, but I am glad to be back in the dry, dry Mojave.

Got a good report on my health this morning ( no surgery required for at least 6 months ). Also got a bit of painting in on my '34 pickup, so all in all, a very good day!  :rolleyes:

My doc sent me to do some therapy for awhile, and I have my annual physical with my primary doc next month as well. I told the docs that I'm on a mission, to collect as many pension and social security checks as I can.

It's County Fair time for us and as much as I enjoy being there with the children, last night was date night and my wife and I spent the entire evening together!

A good day!  This morning I drove the Tracker to the post office to mail a few parts to folks. I come out and there's a little girl pointing at the Tracker. "Daddy look, can we get one like this?"   I had to smile.

Now I'm sitting here posting while listening to the Counting Crows albums...  need to study up since I'm going to see them tonight at the PNC Arts Center in New Jersey!  Need to get in the right frame of mind!  :D

48 Degrees Monday morning and going to be 50 this morning with a 82 high temp. So glad Fall is a week or so away....

Same thing is going on here in SC.  What a change.  Going down to 50 tonight with a high tomorrow of 82.  Looks like fall is sneaking in.

I'm in no hurry for the fall season as the car shows and cruise nights are winding down here in September. There are a couple of car shows next month though. Guess I'll be doin' more model building soon along with rakin' leaves.
