Awesome.

Charlie Larkin

I work with ppl like that as I do IT for CG.  Without exception the artists are all very creative, hard working and have this sort of spirit.  Lotta DIY-ers and they do cool stuff.  It's inspirational to work with em and I'm happy to be able to do so.

The practical side of me asks... what happens if you need to move?

Well, if in SoCal they ain't.  Property taxes alone will keep one locked in there home.  Its not so much the tax rate but the % on say a mil dollar 2,000 sq foot 30 year old fixer upper etc...

The practical side of me say, she's gonna out grow it in three months! Less then the time spent building it.

I'm very happy that I'm not having to share weather with the east coast this weekend. In we're getting a January thaw. As I write this, my digital thermometer just showed 30 degree Fahrenheit. The sun is shining. What a difference from the last two weekends. And it looks like it will be staying like this for the next few days. Life is good. I can stop searching for my gun. ? I'm happy again.

I am sorry for all of you guys out east.

Got to play in the snow in the FJ Cruiser for the 2nd day in a row (and was able to help a few people throughout the day who'd stuck themselves and needed a tug...priceless that 2 of em were modded Jeeps and the FJ went right passed them to yank em free, hahaha!) B)

Today marks 4 weeks without a cigarette.

Hang in there Jim. Wife and I quit ~11 years ago and haven't regretted it a single day.

I'm trying Ed.  Very seldom do I get the urge for a butt and then I just grab a piece of celery to munch on.  It's really not bad.  I also joined a local gym to get some exercise.

Best way to quit is one at a time. Never light that next one. Toughest thing I ever did, twenty years ago.

Good for you mate!

Congrats, as today marks 10 years without a drink for me. Sure I have more money for models, but I really don't need anymore. Just LOTS of "motivation" to build what I have.

4 years smoke free here!

Stopped the drinking completely 12 years ago. I will now have a beer maybe once a month.

Lost 60 pounds in the last two years as well.

It's doable Jim, just keep at it my brother.

Great advice i threw them away 22 years  ago in march. Hang in there Jim..

I quit too when I met my wife 10 years ago. It was hard. The urge hangs around, but gets weaker. Taking a few slow deep breaths helps.

Hang in there. It's a good decision.

All this snow and my Tracker is sitting in the garage with the roof still off from summer!   And I let the registration lapse, it was due in December and as of January it qualifies for historic tags!  (It's a 1991)  I just haven't gotten around to filing the paperwork to get them... and of course Pennsylvania requires photos of the vehicle with the top UP for the filing!  Nothing makes you feel old than when a car you bought new is 25 years old!   :P

So I missed this storm... the big 4x4 guys feel really stupid when I pull them out of the ditch with a puny little Geo Tracker that never, ever has gotten stuck!

LOVE those early Trackers/Sidekicks! We had a '94 tin top 2 door, that thing was fun on wheels :) FWIW,yet to stick the FJ in the years we've had it,including trailing for the weekend, winter, mud, etc,it's locked at both ends with 33" Nittos. The best part of owning it? Driving through the more difficult line  around the non-Rubicon Wrangler (you know the type...lift,tires,blingy wheels and big light bars and the belief they're unstuckable by the owners, and open diffs spinning freely,LOL!) to yank it free :P
