Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27 Posted November 27 (edited) Got up early to clean the kitchen a little prior to cooking, then hauled a few bags of trash to the shop I haven't been to in a while, saw the metal dumpster has been emptied, snagged a Jag starter, a point type distributor for some American V8, and what looks like a rebuildable Rochester 4bbl from it, then made sure my 4 stored cars there are OK, and drove around for a while just because I vastly prefer the world with no idiots in my way. Back at the house, fixin' to start on Thanksgiving dinner. I'm genuinely very thankful for a lot of things. Is my life perfect? Nope. Very far from it. But watching the sun come up this morning, a long hot shower, having a comfortable vehicle with a good heater, and seeing Tigger waiting for me when I got home is enough, ya know? PS: Sprinkles on turkey? Who wooda thunk? Edited November 27 by Ace-Garageguy 4
meechum68 Posted Sunday at 01:58 AM Posted Sunday at 01:58 AM Always nice to see them go I got the hummingbird feeders cleaned and ready for next year. Sad because they all done moved off, but so happy that I just have to fill the feeders in the spring. 1
89AKurt Posted Monday at 03:46 AM Posted Monday at 03:46 AM Pleased I have the time, energy, a pickup that runs good, and a place to get away from the rat race. Been harvesting rocks for landscaping my yard, this was a good haul. I did not plan this part. Something led me to an awesome spot at just the right time. Took a bunch of pictures, won't bore everyone because I can't decide. Pleased I got home too! 😊 5 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted Monday at 03:20 PM Posted Monday at 03:20 PM Hours and hours of paperwork to do, but it's cold, gray, and generally miserable outside...perfect day to sit in front of the heat and and the window and get it done.
TonyK Posted Tuesday at 03:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:55 PM Weekly grocery shopping this morning. Grabbed a cart that looked fairly new and I pushed it with one hand as it rode smooth without pulling to one side and all the wheels were round with no chunks out of them. Doesn't take much to please me I guess but rarely do you get a cart that hasn't been beat to ****. 3 1

EDIT: My local Publix has pretty decent carts, in both chrome and black finishes. I always go with the black ones, to go with my sinister hot-rodder mindset. Mike C Posted Tuesday at 06:25 PM Posted Tuesday at 06:25 PM Well, this relates to my post in the "What did you get today" thread. I had bought a new landline phone that blocks robocalls. Yesterday I looked at the caller ID and saw it blocked 48 robocalls. Robocalls are history now. That's what pleased me! 2

I really have to wonder how some of you guys seem to have such a huge footprint with the data brokers. I get one or two robocalls on my landline a week. That's it. And it's not like I live in a cave under a rock and never venture out into muh technology reality.

JollySipper Posted Wednesday at 11:21 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:21 PM Les, is it a 'rent-to-own' deal, where it will eventually be yours?
FoMoCo66 Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM (edited) Spotify released their end of the year 2025 summary of what you listen to this year. Some people say that I have an old soul when it comes to everything including music (im 16) which is something im really proud of. And I think Spotify thinks that as well. A modeler named mike Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago From a slight irk to a positive post. The age old plastic fake shutter that blew off the house the night before Thanksgiving is fixed and ready for me to reattach today. All before the HOA could send out a letter stating I was in violation..😂 It was a doubtful fix, one that I wasn't sure would that work since there was a decent amount of material missing. I was persistent and failure was not in my vocabulary. I love it when things go well! 2
