slusher Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 (edited) Had a great time on our trip to the Grand Canyon. Weather wise we had rain, snow, fog, sleet. Just like being back in Chicago. : ) Great picture Ray. One of my favorite places is the Grand Canyon. I sure hope to go again someday.. Edited December 25, 2016 by slusher

slusher Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Four grand daughters opening their presents...
Roadrunner Posted December 27, 2016 Posted December 27, 2016 Starting to recover from the maniacal weekend, that pleases me.
landman Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 I received an unsolicited gift from a member. Two trucks, a parts pak and a few odds and sods. Thank you Andy.
10thumbs Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Four grand daughters opening their presents...Carl, a definite thrill for you. Sounds fantastic. I'll bet that was worth a couple of pics, and smiles.
HomerS Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 You may recall I adopted our fourth dog back in April from a rural shelter in which the poor guy had two chips (neither with current info) and over a pound and a half of fur removed by the groomer. Feeling adventurous, I took him to Petsmart for his pic with Santa. I had a greyhound who was notorious for leaving 'clean up in aisle 3' every time we went so i wasn't sure what to expect. He was an absolute angel! I could not have asked for a better dog. 70 pounds of 2-3 year old overgrown puppy that is spoiled rotten.....and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Yesterday's news that our friend Harry is at home, doing much better, and felt good enough to post here.

misterNNL Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 I was pleased to have a friend visit our home receintly and install a file on our computer that allows me an opportunity to listen to a two hour recording made in the mid 1980's by Mr Andy Charles who along with the famous Mr.Wally Byam founded the Airstream Travel trailer co.factory here in Jackson Center,Ohio. In this recording Mr Charles recounts their experiences in 1952 of the drive from Los Angeles,Ca to Ohio in search of a suitable location for an eastern factory for the company. The whole story has proved very interesting and informative and a great pleasure to hear.
cobraman Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Spent this past weekend at my daughters place in San Diego. She wanted my wife to go with her shopping for a wedding dress. I tagged along. Not as bad as you might think except for one thing............the prices ! Are they nuts ? For a dress your wearing one time ? I was told I was thinking like a guy. Well, yes, I am a guy.
crazyjim Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Isn't that goofy? The girls spends hundreds or thousands on a one time dress and the guy rents a tux. Why don't they rent dresses?
cobraman Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 They do but brides don't seem to think that's a good idea.
misterNNL Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Two things please me yesterday,I found unleaded gas for $ 1.61 a gallon in Columbus,Ohio and as I just posted a couple minutes ago on another thread I found a new really great acrylic plastic filler putty called Perfect Plastic Putty made by Deluxe Materials Co.All in all it was very good day.
crazyjim Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 That Perfect Plastic Putty is one part. Won't it shrink?
misterNNL Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 I guess I will eventually find out won't I.I mainly like it for the super easy way it molds when moistened and water clean is a blessing raether that having to use lacquer thinner all the time with a Tamiya product.
cobraman Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Wife wanted to go catch a movie today. Her turn to pick ( always scary ). She picked a movie called " Hidden Figures" . I thought , rats ! As it turned out it was a pretty darn good movie and I really enjoyed it.
