slusher Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Thank You Carl, Glad you're enjoying the Pictures. Took that one while watching Races on TV. I keep my Camera handy Here's yesterdays Sunrise with a Raindrop on the Lens. It was followed by just over 1" of rain. Amazing. You have beautiful scenery ...
Tom Geiger Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Nice shots as always Ed! Most days I work from home and sit at my kitchen table as I am right now. My view is through a picture window out onto my wooded back yard. I keep my trusty camera right on the table in case interesting critters come strolling through the yard. I just tried to sneak up on two tiny woodpeckers chasing each other up and down the tree nearest to me. As I stood trying to focus I got hit in the head by a falling acorn. The hazards of fall!
High octane Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 What pleased me was when I returned home from a "cruise night" last night, my 2 year old grandson wanted me to watch TV with him, so I did.
Tom Geiger Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Just a nice fall day here west of Philadelphia. Leaves have started to fall, soon you won't see the ground! Here's a picture of my bridge across the stream that runs through my backyard. I took this shot earlier today and used it to open a Skype business meeting with participants from around the globe, so I thought I'd share it here too!
XJ6 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 (edited) Pretty Shot Don. You out by Jenner? Yep Jenner heading up towards Fort.Bragg have some friends up that way going to go see ? Edited September 22, 2015 by XJ6
charlie8575 Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 A sort-of happy. To make up for that '60 Corvair that got stolen out from under me a few days ago, I got a reasonably nice built-up in unpainted plastic, so that will be carefully disassembled and made to look good. But it came at much higher a price than I would've liked to pay.But the satisfaction of having a model of a historically significant car and getting me closer to my goal of a complete set of the SMP 1960 model compacts, is that much closer.Oh, and I got my office almost completely set up. I hope to have a model release or two out for sale within the next month after I get some the plans done and arrangements with a laser-cutting shop ready. Charlie Larkin

High octane Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 As the "car season" winds down in these parts, I'm pleased that I was able to get my ride out the last three days in a row for either a cruise night or a car show. It's gonna be a long winter when I put it away for five months.

slusher Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Carpet monster claimed one clear head light lens and could not find it. Told the wife and took a nap and she found it when she came home from work. I believe i have a new source on finding those parts now...
James2 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 You got yourself a good woman right there...
James2 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 My two boys spent the past two weeks in upper Michigan fish'n, hike'n and just relaxing. Making memories and having fun.
Joe Handley Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I went to the storage area we keep our stuff in to find a couple crawler motors I was missing and found one of them as well as a scraper/squeegie that I thought went to the crusher with my Lebaron in '04.
High octane Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I attended our monthly club meeting last night and had a great time. LOTS of models on the display table for "table talk," and a number of guys had model kits for sale including myself, as I'm still tryin' to "thin the herd." A good time and we're already starting to make preparations for our Milwaukee NNL next April.
Tom Geiger Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 To start, today was a good day because the hurricane went out over the ocean! I went to the Diversified Scalerz Model Car Meet & Contest. This is a new show, in it's 4th year, run by a group of young modelers. They've become part of our area show scene, so all the usual suspects were all there. It was a low key, fun day for all. The contest was people's choice ballots for best in class for about 5 categories and a Best in Show award. There was food, soda and coffee so you didn't have to leave the building. Everyone had a great time! A good day for sure!
crazyjim Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 We participated in the 6th annual Nature Coast Mustang Club All Ford Powered Car & Truck Show today - and our Mustang took a bronze award in the 1974-1993 class. I'm a real happy camper.

crazyjim Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Thanks guys. I believe we acquired a pretty decent car. A cherry 1986 Ford Mustang GT with 31,200 ORIGINAL miles, no rust, not abused, climate control ware house for years, interior is as clean as the outside. About the only thing that isn't original on the whole car, is the AC refrigerant. It was changed to the new stuff (R134).
