unclescott58 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Great pix, Ed. Love 'em. Wish we had more of them (Road Runners) around here, but there's something about all the parking lots, traffic, and such that encourages them to stay out in the desert most of their time. Hey, Scott! No harm, no foul. I get some tongue-in-cheek - - - it's just hard to see through the computer! I pretty much figured you knew they are for real. But, you know, Jackalopes are real, too! Despite the rumors to the contrary, they are real! That's what we hunt when submarines and snipes are scarce. Ah, good. Somebody gets it. Though I do think others were getting it too.
unclescott58 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 How about the Snow Bird as the state bird here? Now that's funny too!
unclescott58 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 They're out there, mostly based out of the St. Louis, MO area.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrvoyT5hSBg Wrong Big Foot. That I wouldn't date. ? Then again, maybe I'd have better luck if I did. ?

Roadrunners may be Nuts, but they ain't Stupid And as to the Snipes, you've got'em there in the land of the Too Hot Sun now!
Crazy Ed Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 A little Sunset from the backyard, never gets old. Nice Shot James.
Crazy Ed Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 How about the Snow Bird as the state bird here? That'd Work! And any that doubt the reality of Snowbirds just needs to go to Quartzite Sept/Oct-March/April. One of the most amazing Migrations in the U.S.. The difference between passing through in December vs July is almsot unnerving

Crazy Ed Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 I coulda posted under what Irked You Today that Clouds covered a Comet I wanted to look at this Morning, but when less than 2 hours later I get this instead, I'll see the Comet later
Agent G Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 They're out there, mostly based out of the St. Louis, MO area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrvoyT5hSBg The original Bigfoot was so over the top that back in the day they drove it up and down Lindbergh Blvd late at night. Seems it was the best time to test modifications and such. County cops in north county always talked about it after a stretch on nightwatch. I saw it once while heading home from a party. I'm glad I knew of the legend...... BTW, Missouri Bigfoots are called Momo, as in Momo the Monster. There's a good story about Momo and a St Louis city policeman having an early morning encounter ....................... I was personally involved in the aftermath of that one.......... G

Crazy Ed Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Ed this one needs to go on the man cave wall. Wonderful colors wow... Thanks Carl. But were the Pic to be blown up that large it'd look fuzzie. The Camera is headed back to Nikon for repair. The CCD is slow unmounting and will no longer come to a sharp focus .......... Who knows maybe I'll put some time into building a Kit!?
Joe Handley Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 (edited) One of the two suction cup mounts for my recently aquired Mobius Camera came in at work today, it's only taken nearly a month and 3 or 4 orders to get and they didn't bother shipping the second one. Now here's the kicker, they never went out of stock and even charged us for the last ones they "shipped"......... Edited December 8, 2015 by Joe Handley
slusher Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Christmas decorations out and done Sunday and looks great all lighted up tonight. 3 days in a row mid 60's and sunny. Incredible weather for December...
High octane Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I got my car back from my shop that I've been dealing with for years and my bill was high as I guesstimated it to be, but it wasn't staggering like I feared it might be. Oh well, more "airline miles," and that always makes my wife happy.
Agent G Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 How many rounds were expended? Is your mailbox full? I tried to PM the story but no joy. G

blunc Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 had jury duty today (not pleased about that), got released from jury duty before being chosen... in time to get home and get a nap before my twelve hour night shift.
unclescott58 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Leaving for the Northstar Crosley Club meeting in a few minutes. That always pleases me. We have a lot of fun there b.s.ing about cars in general, and other things. And once in a while, we even talk about Crosleys.
charlie8575 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Crosleys are awesome. Do you have one, Scott?Charlie Larkin
Tom Geiger Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) Interesting, I think a few of my friends may have gone out with her relatives! Charlie Larkin There was an old joke.... the devil appears in a big ball of fire on the alter of a small church. Everyone runs for their lives except for one old man who quietly just sits there in the first row. The devil looks at him and yells, "Don't you know who I am??" The old man replies, "yes." The devil is ticked off at this point and bellows, "And you are not afraid of me??" The old man just blinks and says, "Nope, I was married to your sister for 50 years!"
