Greg Myers Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 That Vicky was reissued a few years ago by some dirt track kit company. Not directly AMT tho, and not all of the original parts.
DrGlueblob Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I want the KAT to put next to my Rat Fink! ..And I sure do want that MPC Van!
unclescott58 Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 I want the KAT to put next to my Rat Fink! I with you there there. I too have a Rat Fink bobble head. It sits next to a Colonel Sanders I got at KFC #1 a few years back. So I need the Kat to stand along side the other two. Scott
southpier Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 AMT kits contain the parts to build the box art. Jalopy - no bueno ...
horsepower Posted October 7, 2014 Posted October 7, 2014 Must be some special kind of flathead in that jalopy, four exhaust pipes and it's not an Ardun conversion.
Snake45 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Must be some special kind of flathead in that jalopy, four exhaust pipes and it's not an Ardun conversion. The old Monogram '32 Ford roadster (oversized kit from the '50s) made the same mistake.
keyser Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Must be some special kind of flathead in that jalopy, four exhaust pipes and it's not an Ardun conversion. Supposed to be a 427, not really convincing. Flattie is stock. Headers for "427" are 2 piece, held together by collector. Can fiddle for other stuff.
rasafyff Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I hope they put red tinted glass in the Vicky and the 37 Chevy.
Greg Myers Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 The old Monogram '32 Ford roadster (oversized kit from the '50s) made the same mistake. ?
Rob Hall Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 ? That pic is of a coupe. The roadster kit was open.
Snake45 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 The main problem in using the AMT Victoria body on the Revell Deuce frame is the curvature in the bottom edge of the AMT body. A friend grafted on the bottom 1/2" or so of the Revell Tudor sedan onto the AMT Vickie body and it fit quite well. Today I tried the AMT Vicky body on the fenders from the old MPC Switchers/American Graffiti '32, last seen as the Boyd Coddington '32 with big goofy wheels, and it was almost a drop-on fit. Should only take a little filing/sanding in the rear wheel area to drop right on that. I think I'm gonna build me a "switcher" drag gasser with both 5-window and Vicky bodies.
Mr mopar Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 I was looking forwards to seeing more Photos of Ihobby ..................................?
Joe Handley Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 I was looking forwards to seeing more Photos of Ihobby ..................................? There wasn't a whole lot going on there, I had to stretch my time there to 4 hours, and that even includes the time spent sitting and eating with a coworker as well as going out to get him from the lobby and getting him signed up to get in the door once he got there. It was better than last years, which was barely with the fuel to get to Schaumburg and back from West Chicago. My boss missed last years, but after this year's, told a customer that for the price of the round trip, a ticket (as a consumer instead of a vendor), and food, you could pick up two 6-packs of a good beer and a nice cigar and get more out of that.
Matt T. Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 In 2014, Q2 was announced on 1/13, Q3 on 4/18 and Q4 on 7/24. What's Q1 2015 hold???
High octane Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Overdue, why as I'm not done buildin' what I already have?
Nova-ss Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Most of us are never done with what we are building....I'm not either.
kalbert Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Hell I'm not even done buying what they already released, let alone build what I have!
southpier Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 and the SS COLA for January gives me enough to get 1 more kit per month!!!
Ramfins59 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 and the SS COLA for January gives me enough to get 1 more kit per month!!! Yeah...... 1.7% increase...... Better than nothing I suppose, and better in our pockets.
hgbben Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I'm never done building what i have. Must have more
Snake45 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I saw this list elsewhere, I make no claims for its accuracy. blubaja Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I saw this list elsewhere, I make no claims for its accuracy. Some of these were on the 4th quarter schedule. The Raptor was supposed to be 3rd.
