AMT Willys Gasser Pickup

Hi, I finished this recently. It is box stock except for a wired distributor. It is painted HOK Wild Cherry with Testors One Coat Clear. I will probably add some more sponsor decals. I also have to paint the tarp that covers the pickup bed. I just moved and have not yet unburied the kit box so I can find and paint that part! I had wanted to build this kit for a long time - when Round 2 re-released it I decided it was time!

Thanks! Yes, the inside is brush painted with flat gray. I'd like to learn to spray the inside, but it seems like tons of masking would be required.

Really clean - I like it. The Willys pickup is one of my favorite body styles. The early Anglia is another.

Have the same kit on my bench now, using it to get my skill set back. Been out of the hobby for a few years. Having a blast and hope mine turns out 1/2 as nice as yours!!

You truck looks wonderful!!!! I am building the same truck now and  I have some questions.  I know that you built this almost 7 years ago and hopefully you can remember, but did yu have fit issues?  I did a lot of dry fitting before paint and alost every single hole was to small or there was a gap that needed to be filled or something didn't line up at all.  Example the mounts for the gas tank are way too wide for the space given and the hinge for the hood is too narrow for the frame of the truck.  Ive been fitting this evry single step and it's no longer a fun build.  I'm just trying to get through this buld to just so I don't have an unfinished kit on my shelf.
