PatW Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 I finished this today. As the body is too big for my paintbooth I polished the body with micro-gloss............. And a few more pics to come............
PatW Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 And these are the other few................ It is also the first time for me to paint whitewalls.
PatW Posted November 11, 2014 Author Posted November 11, 2014 (edited) Cheers 62rebel, yes it's not too bad. The plastic is pretty soft and the instructions are not quite straightforward. I would have fitted the doors better if I'd had test fitted them before putting the wings (fenders) on. The glass in the front doors slides up and down nicely. Edited November 11, 2014 by PatW
cobraman Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Looks good. The polish didn't come out too bad.
bbowser Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 What funky cars they are . Very nice job on a rarely seen vehicle.
peter31a Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Very cool! Certainly not one you see built very often. Very good build and thanks for sharing.
sjordan2 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Great job on what I've heard is a nightmare of a kit, with warped bodies and horrible parts fit. I'm impressed.
slusher Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Have to agree, great looking model and work Pat.
PatW Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 Well thanks guys I didn't know that it would be so popular!
Sportabout Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Great job. This is a quite challenging kit I made cabriolet years go. Only complaint is steering wheel position that should be like in this picture when wheels are straight.
PatW Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 I'm confused. Firstly this thread shows 'no replies' when clearly there are ten. Secondly the thread has been moved. Thirdly there's no area on this forum to query things to find out why these are wrong!
bobthehobbyguy Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Pat pm Harry or Casey for answers to your questions
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Nice work on one of the shining examples of the French alternate-reality approach to vehicle design in the '50s and '60s. Love it.
PatW Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) How do I pm? Harry or Casey who? Edited November 14, 2014 by PatW
PatW Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 Thanks Bill. Yes a superb car to drive still, 50 years later!
