Randy D Posted March 7, 2015 Author Posted March 7, 2015 Randy, The boots are a aftermarket item that I picked up for an up coming 1/12th mc build. Will post a link for you. Randy
Codi Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Hi Randy, "mc" ...model club? What car are you doing in 1/12th btw? Cheers, Tim
Mike_G Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Hi Randy, "mc" ...model club? Motorcycle would be my guess.
Randy D Posted March 7, 2015 Author Posted March 7, 2015 Tim, Mike is correct. Lazy typing on my part Actually a F1 motorcycle side car racer. A couple of ref. pics..... Need to clear the bench first ! Randy
afx Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Great work on the GT40 Randy. I also like the F1 sidecar project idea. Those sidecar riders are insane!
Randy D Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Hi Folks, Randy, Sorry for not following through on the 'boots'....It was a Tuner Model Manufactory product # 2002B. Flexible rubber with a wire inside. Of course have no link when I need it but try HiroBoy or Hobby Link Japan. Hi Michael, Thank you for the kind words my friend really enjoy watching your bantam altered build. Chris, Glad you like it ! The time is just flying, hoping to have more done by DSC Thanks Joe ! Hey Tim, Thank you , now get back to work on the Henry J !!! Hello Douglas, thank you for commenting ! Thanks Mark Hi Tyrone, Appreciate you checking in ! Thanks Wayne ! Hi Art, Thanks, I think I smell a ringer on your kart challenge race, isn't your whole family a bunch of racers?????? Thank you Ken ! Riley, I started this one for when I get stuck on the wrecker build ! Thank you Al ! Hi Richard, Thank you, now lets get back on the dio ! Thanks JC, I see they are restoring the gt40 that you have pics of in your Fotki album. The GT40 had the spare mounted in the front clip slightly off center..... Making up the brackets for the tire hold down straps.... Mounting them on the square tubing framework.. more.....
Randy D Posted March 16, 2015 Author Posted March 16, 2015 Next up is progress on the front uprights, hubs and brakes... The brake discs are from Detail Master. I doubled up on the 'spokes' part to get a little thicker piece. The 'hats' are filed from white metal with rbmotion bolts. Thanks for looking in ! Randy

Thank you Seth ! Hey Tim, Thanks my friend, I'm posting as fast as I'm building (which is pretty slow ) Hi Ray, Glad to have you ! Thanks Michael, about time for an update on the Bantam???? Thank you Bruce ! Thanks Art ( I knew it !!!) Update.... Building the radiators up front. For the '69 race this car ran with a 'special' brass and copper rad. for water rather than the ally one. It also had a small oil cooler on top of the rad. This is my best pic of this area on the real 1076 after restoration.. more....

Each and every progress post has me captivated and practically begging for more. I know you've still got a ways to go but I'm 50/50 at this point. Part of me can't wait to see it finished and the other doesn't want it to end. Lol. Sooooo envious. Keep 'em comin! Chris

Unatural Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I had asked that earlier and he said yes, he was planning on painting it. I think he should just paint it with a clear coat!
