My wife got a new desk and chair for in home office, and I got her old chair that looks just like this one. Has made a big difference for me anyway. 1
Joe Nunes Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 (edited) Ordered a new Motorcraft HVAC Air Door Actuator for my 2008 Ranger PU; will pick it up tomorrow. Then I get to have fun taking the old actuator out and installing the new actuator (actually not a hard thing to do). Then I can adjust the heat temperature in my truck…gets hot in a hurry now because I can’t adjust the cabin temperature. I‘ll be glad I am doing this change out now when it comes time to use the air conditioner too. ? Joe Edit: The new part is now installed and my HVAC system works fine. Saved a lot of money...and took my bride of 53 years out to lunch afterwards because she held the light so I could see inside the dashboard behind the glovebox. Tight work spot!! 426 pack Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Picked up a set of headers for a fox body mustang that I should be able to cut up for another project as well as a cool set of small block Ford valve covers and a sun visor for a 73-87 Chevy.

John M. Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 (edited) I got my weekly groceries at Market Basket early this morning so I could both avoid the crowd that shops later in the day and kick back. Edited March 26, 2023 by John M. 1
TarheelRick Posted March 31, 2023 Posted March 31, 2023 Bought this on an on-line auction back in January, finally got it delivered today. Needs some work, but it will be better on gas mileage than my 5.0 F-150 4X4. 1980 Pinto (last year of production) auto (slips when cold, will replace fluid & filter) AM radio (have Pioneer am/fm.cd with 2 4X6 speakers), going to be a project car for sure. 1

Love it. Pintos are tough little cars that will pretty much run forever with reasonable care. I've had several, and really wish I'd kept the early 2-liter, 4-speed car.
426 pack Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I stumbled upon a original 67/68 barracuda flip gas cap at a antique sale and had to buy it, I think I’m going to sink it into the top of my 71 valiant quarter panel. 1

Ace-Garageguy Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Broke down and bought a battery and insurance for my little orphan PT Cruiser. The trans is in perpetual "limp mode", and I'll have to drive it some to get it to set all the codes I need to pull out of its brain. I've been putting random batteries in it to warm it up every couple of weeks, but every time I disconnect the battery, it loses the codes...so I need to leave a fresh one in it that has enough beans to not discharge fully if it sits a while. Far as the insurance goes, I can't drive it to diagnose it it it's not insured, and with the expired tag, it's just screaming to get pulled over and impounded...BUT, if it's insured I CAN drive around some for diagnosis, aven on an expired tag. Happily for me, it only takes about 30 seconds online to add or remove a vehicle from my policy, and they only charge me for the days it's on. 1

That stuff's not so much a sealant as a high-temp anti-seize that keeps those slip joints and other hardware from rusting solid.

I've never used one myself but i know a lot of the classic car owners around here use them through the winter when the cars are stored indoors. This seems like a job it would be good for and a decent one can be had for around $50. I think some of them can also be used to save codes while swapping over a battery too

I've had one on the list of stuff I need to get, but never seem to follow through on. Since little car is going to be coming back to life but not used regularly, it looks like it's time. Thanks for the reminder. Edited April 7, 2023 by Ace-Garageguy 1
Joe Handley Posted April 16, 2023 Posted April 16, 2023 Found this tea when Dad and I went to get lunch today, label caught my attention for a couple reasons, but it’s pretty good too! even the metal cap has the PW artwork on it and it comes in a glass bottle too! 2
Joe Handley Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Picked this up from a friend today, Traxxas has been running a 2 for $300 sale on these, so we went in together on them! My friend grabbed the pickup shown here for his part of the sale! 2
Joe Handley Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 (edited) Picked up a different set of rolling stock and Rx for the above Hot Rod. It looks like I will need to order the body in clear and second light harness so I can have this one as the pretty shelf body then a fenderless body to have for having fun, especially with those bigger Cheater slick style tires for the Supra version of this chassis? HomerS Posted May 29, 2023 Posted May 29, 2023 Die hard hockey but enjoy the AHL (one step from the NHL) and ECHL (two steps from the NHL) more so than the NHL so I collect bobbleheads of the NHL'ers of tomorrow. I've always been a fan of the goalies and the paint jobs on their masks.
426 pack Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 I picked up a few more projects, I don’t really know what I’m going to do with them but I paid $150 for the 5 window and $50 for the model t body. I also picked up a Ford flathead v8 for $100 that looks to be in good condition. 4
atomicholiday Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) Picked this up in a Goodwill yesterday. Marshall 4x12 speaker cabinet. Score!! It’s from 1995 and is in excellent condition. Who the heck turns something like this in to Goodwill for absolutely nothing? This is the second speaker cab I’ve scored from two different locations. Crappy picture, I know.
