Porscheman Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I bought this 2 years ago at the NNL East and forgot all about it. Wednesday I was going through my stash and found it. This is a Modelhaus kit and very well done. I painted it Dupli-color Dark Toreador Red with Wet Look Clear top coats. The interior was done in Krylon Dark Merlot and I tinted the glass with light coats of Tamiya's Clear Blue. I'm very happy with the finish on this one, a very rewarding build. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking. Al
atomicholiday Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Really cool. That's one you don't see everyday.
Ramfins59 Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Al, that's looking really great. Another cool car to add to your collection. I'm currently working on a Modelhaus '58 Lincoln Continental convertible kit that I picked up from them at NNL East last April. I painted it a dark Twilight Blue Metallic by Duplicolor. I should hopefully be able to post some Workbench pics of it soon. How many 1958 cars do you have finished so far? To date I have 9 different '58 cars done.
StevenGuthmiller Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Very cool Al! Those old Lincolns sure were some tanks!! Steve
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Cool. One of my favorite bizarro Detroit spaceships.
Chuck Most Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Largest mass-produced unibody car in history. Wonderful job on this one!
geetee66 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Classy! Real clean execution. I'll have to investigate the Modelhaus kits,. By the look of yours, they're worth checking out. I saw a 59 Lincoln in the Concours de Elegance, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year. A Dutch guy owned it. Quite amazing amounts of steel from every angle.
High octane Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Very nice job on that "boulevard barge," and the AMT '59 Lincoln Continental Conv. kit is what started it all for me.
Porscheman Posted November 23, 2014 Author Posted November 23, 2014 Thanks guys. I didn't know there was that many Big *^? Lincoln lovers out there. This one of the best fitting Modelhaus I've built and I've done quit a few. Rich, I have 7 58's in my collection, most of them are Ford's. Al
Ramfins59 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Largest mass-produced unibody car in history. Yeah, my '59 Dodge Coronet was 18' 2" long. One day a friend parked his father-in-law's '58 Lincoln next to it and the Lincoln was several inches longer. What a boat.
Ron Hamilton Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 (edited) Beautiful!!!!!! Edited November 24, 2014 by Ron Hamilton

Porscheman Posted November 24, 2014 Author Posted November 24, 2014 Thanks guys. I looked into buying a 59 about 6 years ago, but it wouldn't fit in my garage. Al
