Porscheman Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I wasn't happy when I picked this up and found out the proper stripes weren't included. So I went to Google Images and saw this two tone, stripes weren't needed. I painted it Testors big bad blue lacquer and Tamiya's gloss black two tone. 3 coats of Testors wet look clear for top coat and Tamiya clear blue for the window tint. The interior was done in Tamiya semi-gloss black. This is a nice kit with the exception to the tires, which seem a little big. Let me know what you think. Al
Mr Stock Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 Al that is superb , I have this kit and its good to see it built up and pics of the engine at all please ?. Love the color and the black two tone great idea.
MrObsessive Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 IIRC, AMC called that paint job a "shadow treatment" which was for 1970 only. I think it looks nicer than the stock stripes, and yours is lookin' good!
slusher Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Man, sharp model Al. Great choice in the Big Bad Blue. Sweet paint and pictures....
Sixx Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Pretty dang cool ! I'd get one but I just don't do 1/20th or larger. Awesome paint !!!

o-man Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Great choice of colors, and great looking model.
Porscheman Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 Thank you again guys for the nice comments on my AMX. Al
geetee66 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 I admit, the body style doesn't really do much for me, but I can easily see it's a fine build. The colour scheme works well.
Dave Van Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Looks good.....Big Bad Blue with a Mask.......as a AMC owner...I like!
