CFMgarage Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Oh my, I just went through all the awesomeness in this thread! Makes me wanna get a lathe...and I still wouldn't be able to match your skills. Not even close. Really nice job, can't wait to see more.
exesivefire Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 Thanks guys, got a bit done today, tank mounting plate and more progress on the interior pan
exesivefire Posted April 1, 2016 Author Posted April 1, 2016 I then proceeded to make a bunch of plastic scraps
bobthehobbyguy Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Glad to see this back on the bench. This is such a neat project.
Belugawrx Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 That's what my bench looks like, trying to make a part 10 X = 1 good one,.. Looking great Andy Love this build Cheers
GTJUNIOR Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 This is looking really impressive. Can't wait to see more.
exesivefire Posted April 7, 2016 Author Posted April 7, 2016 So last night I decided I didn't like how the interior fit and I started over. I'm glad I did. Worked on that in between cleaning up the cab a bit. Started with one piece for the floor to make sure the fit was good and built the tunnel off that. Then I went back and carved out the bottom.
bobthehobbyguy Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Love that shot from the underneath. The scratchbuilding is outstanding.
Codi Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 Nice to see you back on this one Andy. The changes you've made were worthwhile. Subtle, but they truly add to the build. Count me as a fan as well. cheers, tim

I'm pretty happy with it! The rear panels got my curiosity moving ...yeah, it took a while to get them right, but it was worth it
misterNNL Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I hope you are planning on displaying this over a mirrored surface at some point. It would be a shame to see this in person and not be able to view all the awsome undercarriage work.Really a benchmark project sure to inspire a lot of builders to do similar projects.
Ridge Rider Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 It's nice to see such a cool project moving forward again. I will be watching.
Intmd8r Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Got to ask - is this a model build up, or an engineering exercise??Either way - excellent skills!
