cobraman Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I thought the Little T was coming back with the trailer, no ?
chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Haven't they already re-released that one, like back in the 80s? I have a builtup one with the trailer.
TooOld Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 The original tooling was modified and the six carb induction system and the headers were lost , probably for ever ! The original wheels and tires were never used either , along with the Turtle deck option and the chrome oval gas tank . This is the latest re-issue And these are previous re-issues
Bernard Kron Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) The whole original vibe of the Little T, with it's classic clean and balanced style, even remarkable at the time of its original creation, was lost long ago with its transformation into a "Fad T" with the wire front wheels, and then later the trailer and wide section rear tires. With the renewed interest in classic rodding it's time for a revival of the original release. It would sell well, IMHO, and become an important parts kit too. Some of the pieces, like the six carb manifold, have survived in other kits, but mostly I suspect would need to be retooled. There aren't that many pieces to do, however... Certainly not even close to what Revell did with the Slingster. Edited December 15, 2014 by Bernard Kron
Danno Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 ^ I agree with Bernard's take on the Little T. ^
gbdolfans Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I for one would LOVE to see all of them come out!!! I remember building the Little T when I was a kid. Would love to build one now!!!
disabled modeler Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 How about these... Un-Real Roller Mean Maverick large scale funny car Ghost of the red baron Chevy Luv 4x4 Mojave Mule 1/8th scale Trans AM
VW93 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I would definitely buy two or more of the Little Deuce and Little T if they re popped them as original.
Muncie Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Wouldn't it be cool if the T came with Little T and SweeTee parts in the same kit and the Little Deuce and Son of Ford also came in the same kit? Would realy like to see stock hood sides in the Monogram Deuce!
jbwelda Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 what would be kool would be to include parts to build a "little drag" and a "little rod" with the "little T". there is a start already: the little T contained a turtledeck like the drag and a gas tank like the rod. jb
tim boyd Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I understand that one of the most respected aftermarket resin casters is looking into rebopping the parts that would allow you to make the Little T from the latest T kit release....TIM
Bernard Kron Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I understand that one of the most respected aftermarket resin casters is looking into rebopping the parts that would allow you to make the Little T from the latest T kit release....TIM Oh goody. I'd buy them nor so much to reproduce the Little T as to have them for other uses... particularly the wheels and tires,

If you can find one of these kits it has the correct seats and interior bucket . . . and it has the headers !
ZTony8 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 The Little Deuce is out in modified form now(different wheels and decals).I was disappointed in the kit upon purchase. There's not a full chassis under it!
Skip Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 The "Little T" always makes me wax nostalgic, one of the first few kits that I built with the help of my Uncle. He showed me how to do light detail paint, use sewing thread for plug wires, Polish the plastic body to a really nice shine. Today, I'd love to have a coupe "Little T's" one to recreate the memory, another to swap in an injected Nailhead to create TV Tomy Ivo's T Bucket. From what I remember the Little T was/is a well designed kit, the bones were there to build pretty much any late 50's early 60's "High End" T Bucket Hot Rod. Funny in all the times that I built that kit I always used the small block Chev engine, but I can't remember how well Monogram did it. If it was anything like the rest of the kit it would have been well done, back when model companies were really competing for the Dollar or Two they got per kit.

FordRodnKustom Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) Yep, one crappy kit ain't no "Little Deuce" True, but the basic bones of the Little Deuce are still there. I was surprised to see Little Deuce decals on the sheet in this kit. Edited December 23, 2014 by FordRodnKustom
unclescott58 Posted November 9, 2017 Posted November 9, 2017 righ in here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24398 Wow! Is that nice. Revell really should restore the above kit back to original form. That looks a lot better than the later repops. The wheels and tires really make the difference.
