Joe Handley Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 How about a nice model of the original steel Corvette, instead of those crummy fiberglass clones? I assume you're talking about the warship Corvettes? http://home.vicnet.net.au/~mildura/Corvette_links.htm
ramonesblues Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I'd like to see a '46 to '48 Plymouth coupe and sedan and a '50 Olds coupe.
FactoryStock54 Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I'll play! In no particular order of preference: '54 Chevy 210 '55 Ford Crown Victoria '53 Hudson Hornet (this would please the vintage NASCAR crowd too!) '39 Plymouth coupe or sedan '35 Ford coupe, convertible or sedan (tudor or fordor) '37 Ford fordor (factory stock) '38 Ford '34-'36 Chevy '48 Studebaker Starliner, '51 Stude Commander '59 Studebaker Lark '63 (?) Studebaker Grand Tourismo '46-'48 DeSoto '37-'40 LaSalle In general I'd love to see more two- and four-door sedans, which far outnumbered coupes and convertibles in "real life."
Phil Patterson Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 How about a nice model of the original steel Corvette, instead of those crummy fiberglass clones? It always bothered me that there were so many diecast Corvettes...

Junkman Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 (edited) What I find generally underrepresented in model form of any scale or material are ironically the high-end makes - Rolls Royce, Bentley, Daimler, Mercedes, Jaguar, BMW. A Silver Shadow? A Mulsanne? A Hooper bodied DS38? A fintail or W108/109? A Mark X or XJ V12? A 1800, 2000, -02, 3.0 Si? Also missing are models of any kind of regular full size American cars of the Seventies - save for a few Caprices. Where are the big Buicks, Cadillacs, Pontiacs, Oldsmobiles? Plymouths, Dodges, Chryslers, Imperials? Fords, Mercurys, Lincolns? Come on, a late 70s Town Car! Or a Continental Mark that I can build in Lipstick guise. A complete decade of US-Cars - completely ignored in model form! What about the Detroit Show cars from the 50s to the 70s? A Lincoln Futura and what is supposed to be a Pontiac Club De Mer is just not enough. And then there are the real odd balls that will never make it on the radar of the mainstream collectors: Armstrong-Siddeley Sapphire, Aston-Martin Lagonda, any Tatra, you get the picture. Junkman Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Id love to see the VW Scirocco and Corrado. Ive been told that the Scirocco has been done, but Ive never found one. If anyone knows of some me and my dad buy them. Both have been done. The Scirocco by AMT and the Corrado by Revell AG. They aren't hard to find on I pay.
Spike Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) This has got to be the most frequently asked question on any of the various model car forums. If it ever actually accomplishes anything is up to many debates....many become rather "heated" on the other forum. So, I suppose I'll add my almost worthless two cents worth. My late mother used to have a saying. "Spit in one hand and wish in the other. Watch to see which gets filled the quickest!" Here goes: 1976-1980 Plymouth Volare' or Dodge Aspen...Coupe OR Wagon 1970-1971 Plymouth Sport Fury GT or 1970 S-23 Hardtop 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst Hardtop 1969 Dodge Polara 500 Hardtop or Convertible 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 or Plymouth Belvedere Satellite Ht. or Convertible An accurate 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, Gran Coupe, 'cuda, or AAR 1962-1965 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe's 1967-1976 Plymouth Valiant 4-Door Sedan (Signet series from 1967-1969) (The car in the Movie "Dual" would be nice....a 1971 with the interior and exterior decor groups.) 1967 Ford's... Fairlane 500/XL and Galaxie 500/XL 1968-1969 Chevrolet Impala's Any Rambler or AMC products Fury3 they made a 77 volare with the roadrunner package,do some searchin on ebay, i got one for $42. but i would like to see a wagon molded on a side not i would like to see,,,, 82-87 chrysler fifth avenue 70-71 dodge d-100 sweptline 78-78 dodge magnum chrysler cordobas 55 dodge royal (i think thats what its called) 1st gen dodge neon 77-78 chrysler new yorker Edited March 10, 2008 by moparkid999
mr moto Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 How about some Studebaker Hawks? '62/63/64 GT Hawk would be great or a '57/58 Golden Hawk and a '56 Golden Hawk or Sky Hawk. I also agree with those asking for contemporary or at least recent everyday cars. I could stand to see some Nissan/Infiniti vehicles like a Maxima or G35 sedan. I'm kind of an old school guy but I look at the lines of some modern cars and see lots of custom lead sled type potential.
dub Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Both have been done. The Scirocco by AMT and the Corrado by Revell AG. They aren't hard to find on I pay. Very true, but...... The First generation Scirocco is kitted, but the second generation has been forsaken. Maybe one day.....

MrObsessive Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 How about some Studebaker Hawks? '62/63/64 GT Hawk would be great or a '57/58 Golden Hawk and a '56 Golden Hawk or Sky Hawk. Man you're speakin' my language!! I've got a resin '64 layin' around somewhere that I bought years ago from John Heyer but never finished. I also have a '58 that I converted from a '53------but it needs restored as the hood got damaged among other things. I also have R&R's resin '56 Golden Hawk............One of Ray's nicer kits! It would be nice to see any of those done in plastic.
samdiego Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 (edited) the 1967 Fairlane Ranchero That Budwieser rocket car they teased us with years ago. Craig Breedlove's earlier stuff.
