landman Posted January 8, 2018 Author Posted January 8, 2018 The crankshaft tweaking tool has been delivered to the shop. It is used, slightly worn but serviceable. the boys are happy with it. So am I.
Flat32 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 You certainly are productive as well as highly skilled. I'm inspired, but you set the bar kinda high.
landman Posted January 12, 2018 Author Posted January 12, 2018 The shop has just completed a Ford 406. It was the 390 in the Lindberg 34 Ford pickup kit.

One is ether one or two of the MRC gas station kits...that is what i used the first time around for them as a starting base kit.

landman Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 FTB has just completed a couple more projects; a mundane Mack ENDT673 and your everyday twin trurboed, dry sumped, fuel injected and transaxled Packard Super 8.
landman Posted May 31, 2018 Author Posted May 31, 2018 The Boss wanted to display his Cannonball car close to his office. That meant moving the engine display stand beside the entrance door.

landman Posted September 11, 2018 Author Posted September 11, 2018 (edited) I thought it would be nice to take photos outside of the FTB shops as well as inside. So I went to my friend at Ziebart/Uniglass and asked if I could "borrow" his building. Then my cousin photoshopped the Ziebart/uniglass stuff off of it and photoshopped the FTB (flatheads to Boxers) stuff in. I then had a sign maker print it to scale. We agreed to make it semigloss as he would have had to open a new roll of material to do it in matte. So it ended up too glossy. The first photos are with the image's pavement which I then cut off and took one with my "pavement". I think it will be useable. I may spray it with clear matte. Edited September 12, 2018 by landman
crazyjim Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Looks great. I've seen some places that seal the concrete and it comes out looking just like in your pics. Easy to keep clean.
Anglia105E Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Interesting idea to show the outside of your diorama building Pat, and a clever way to do it too. I particularly like the last in the series of photos, which has the shadow cast by the recovery vehicle. Most of my diorama photos are outside the building so I have to go inside to get the alternative interior shots. David
landman Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 Gave the image and the concrete apron a good fogging of Tamiya Matt to combat the glare.
Gramps46 Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 Clever idea and looking good with the matt finish.

Anglia105E Posted September 16, 2018 Posted September 16, 2018 Excellent solution Pat..... so what do you have in mind for the next phase of this diorama build? David
