Grzegorz Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 I used to build old glue bomb mpc chevelle malibu.
W-409 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 That looks really good! My favorite generation of Chevrolet Chevelles for sure! These are very rarely seen as models, so I'm really happy to see one done this well. Good job doing the conversion. What kits did you use? You said you used an MPC Chevelle Malibu as a base kit. But which one was it? Also where did you get that Wagon roof and stock front end (if it didn't come with the kit). Only minor "flaw" I see is that the rear end should be curved a bit more forward just before the rear bumper. But that's a small thing - I'm very happy to see one of these built and this is a really nice and clean build despite that minor thing.
Danno Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Whoa! That's interesting. Tell us about the build.
Bob Ellis Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 You model some very difficult subjects. Looks like almost everything you had to create yourself.

Dominik Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Whoa! That's interesting. Tell us about the build. Cool wagon what kind of Wood is that? Decals?
Grzegorz Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Cool wagon what kind of Wood is that? Decals? ...its woodgrain thanks Awesome conversion!!! Nice work! Thanks...
unclescott58 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Very cool. '73 was the only year you could have gotten the SS package with the Chevelle wagon. That's the version I'd like to see offered as kit someday. But, I'm holding my breath waiting for that to happen. Scott
christian-w Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Super! I like rare cars and wagons are always cool *thumbsup* The woodish sides are cool. It looks a little strange vertically instead of the "normal" way horizontally A good mix of other cool donor cars
CorvairJim Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) Beautiful job! I once owned a yellow '73 Chevelle Laguna wagon - The only year Checy made that model. Laguna was the high-end luxury version of the Chevelle in '73, replaced by the Malibu Classic for 1974. The Laguna Type S-3 replaced the Chevelle SS from 1974 through 1977. Anyhow, enough of the history lesson. Your model gives me the inspiration to FINALLY attempt to make a model of my car - One of my favorites of the non-Corvairs I've owned over the years. Hewre's a photo of a similar car I found online a while back - My car had Rally wheels, not mags: Edited January 21, 2015 by CorvairJim
kruleworld Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 excellent build, really top notch. and front with this model no way! i tried that, it didn't look anything like the stock version!
