RandyB. Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 I finally finished up this old rare kit from AMT that I bought on ebay several years ago. Painted in Testor's "Competition Orange" enamel. Tires in the kit were swapped out for a smaller set I had in my tire parts box. The ones that came with the kit looked too large for a car of this size. Tire decals are from Fireball Modelworks and the Nova SS decals are from Keith Marks. I sanded off the molded-in Nova scripts. Have a look and see what you think.
jeffs396 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Nicely done! I used to have a rust-free 1:1 '76 similar to yours, wish I wouldn't have sold it
Snake45 Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Very nice! I wish I'd gotten one of these when they were available, and now you're REALLY making me want one.
RandyB. Posted January 18, 2015 Author Posted January 18, 2015 Thanks guys. Snake there are couple of them right now on Ebay both sealed. Seen them today.
cruz Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Looks superb, love the tires with their white lettering in conjunction with the rims.
mikemopar70 Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 It's nice to see a 1976 like this! I like it!!
espo Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Your build looks outstanding. I have one of these kits but I have put off building it because of the rear quarter windows that just do not look right to me.
RandyB. Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Thanks guys. I received some black wash in the mail today. Never had this stuff before for doing gaps in doors and trunk lids. Great stuff. The first build I did was my recent '76 Nova SS. I like the results.
mustang1989 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 This is a very well represented Nova here Randy! Great build! How long did this one take you to finish? Just curious is all.
