speedy5963 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Here the first of two AMT 65' Rivi's I have completed. Really like this kit, fun simple build and they look great. The first one I did I removed the emblems and door handles from the body, cleaned up the mold lines, flash and scribed the body lines out. It was painted with HOK's Kandy Tangerine over an Orion Silver Base then cleared with Sikkens clear. It has baby moon wheels on thin white walls from the pats box and is lowered. The motor is the kit based nailhead with plug wires, the interior is done in a tan with tan flocking for carpet. Overall a fun and quick build, makes for a great shelf piece.
gman Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 That is some beautiful paint work- like this build very much.
Lowlife ! ! Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Love this one Paul, beautiful paint as always and a perfect choice of wheels n` tyres, slammed stance helps too...... ..... Lowlife ! !
Petetrucker07 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I love these Rivieras. I really want to build a couple.
speedy5963 Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 Thank you all for the kind comments! I'll be posting some pics of my blue one later this evening or tomorrow, think I like it of the 2. Great kit though, I'm looking forward to building a 63 and 64 eventually!
slusher Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Man, that's a gorgeous model. Great finish and stance. Awesome build...
W-409 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Very nice looking Riviera! These are very rarely seen built in this style which is a shame because I think this car looks maybe the best when built as a Custom. Yours is an excellent example of that - beautiful color and spot on stance. Nice detailing as well.
Can-Con Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 really sweet ! You don't often see someone shave off the trim under the rear window, nice touch.
Impalow Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Great looking car, awesome paint and perfect stance! Ive had my eyes on one of these kits, definately on my future builds list.
