  1. Thanks everyone. I'm sure it will look better in my eyes as time passes. That was another vibe I was trying to capture, thanks for noticing.
  2. Thanks! That post was November of 2021, that's how long it took me to get back on the flip side. 😄 Maybe I can get it finished before my anniversary this year. 😂
  3. Wow, its been awhile since I touched this one. I had to downsize my work area and put a large amount of my kits in the garage. I decided to keep this one out and after looking it over decided it wasn't so bad after all. This evenings bench time resulted in more yellow being sprayed. I'm liking it better already. 😁
  4. Have you ever built anything that your just not happy with the finished product? Well...this is the second in a row for me. 🙁 I'm calling this one done. I wanted it to be a subdued color so it would fly under the radar. I think that is the only thing I achieved. It ended up with a badly fitting chassis and glue marks on the roof and rear glass.
  5. Well, that's three of us. 😁
  6. Thanks everyone. I would recommend to anyone attempting this kit to take LOTS of time trimming and fitting EVERY SINGLE piece, and then do it all again making sure it all goes together well before painting and assembly. I would have had to repaint this one if I spent the time needed to do so....but I really liked the color combo from the previous builder, so as they say, it is what it is. 😁
  7. Thanks for everyone's patience. I just finished it up tonight. Yes, the load is what you think it is. 😁
  8. Thanks Anton I have three different 1/16 that currently hold my attention. 😁 Choosing might be difficult.
  9. Rich Chernosky's thread title got me to thinking. Would any of you be interested in a large scale community build? 1/16, 1/12, and 1/8. There are lots of kits out there, 1/16 in particular. We could even keep it to 1/16 if more people are interested.
  10. I saw the title and got all excited because I would be all in on a group build. Do you have any close up pics? I have a number of 1/16, 1/12, and 1/8 in the stash right now.
  11. Beautiful build. Love the fit and finish. I built one of these a couple years ago and really enjoyed the conversion using the Astro as a donor. Early this year I found a resin sleeper cab, so sometime in the future....
