Hi Mark, This is the closest I've seen so far. Thanks! -
Hi, I'm looking for a kit source or AM retailer for wheels or wheel covers that look exactly like or very close to these.

Awesome scratch build. All of the multimedia really came together with your skills. -
Thank you Scott. Yeah, go for it. Family replica builds are great to look at on the shelf. Thanks, David. Thank you, Gary. The only thing I had problems with was the front suspension doesn't want to assemble and sit true. Thanks David! Thanks Larry!

?️ WIP thread here, if interested: VW Beetle strip and repaint Kit box art: Kit box art My friend needed help painting a 2-tone scheme on his model Beetle. It's a double memorial build for two members of his car club who had passed. Each side represents their car. I can’t find the head light lenses and the tail light parts. I don’t know if they were in the box or not. Maybe at my friend’s house? He doesn’t remember either. I lined up the tail light parts so if we find the lenses later then they can be installed. I also messed up a little at the right side door panel line. Tried to clean it up but made it worse. If you close one eye and squint with the other, it looks fine. ? He’s working on a roof rack made from paper clips. Thank you for looking ?

Nice overall. I especially like the weathering on the exhaust stack, tires, and greasy trailer hitch thing -
Nice recovery!

Your body work is open point! The sheen of the paint doesn't look too bad from here but seeing it up close on the bench probably looks different. Maybe your idea with a light coat of flat may help.

STRIPPER with LOTS of PICTURES * repainting a Beetle

The paint cured for about a week before clear coat. I was concerned that this UPOL product would be too hot for the enamel side. First time using this and sprayed it right out of the can. I lightly misted all over a few coats before the thicker wet coats were applied. This worked because the enamel did not react.- 21 replies
