Bill, often, when I read your posts, my reaction is "This dude has his stuff together!" but when you blow goober chunks you do it in spades! Sodium chloride is >A< salt. Potassium chloride is a salt. Sodium bicarbonate is also a salt.

It is also hygroscopic (absorbs water) so it's probably not the best thing to paint over (or leave in contact with that freshly blasted metal.)
