mchook Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I bought this kit years ago & just opened it. I was looking forward to building it until I got a good look at it. The decals shown on the box aren't the ones that come with it, & the detail is pretty much non existent. I think the chassis is used in a few different amt/mpc kits & doesn't really fit any of them. Anyway, I decided to make another junker out of it and here it is. I didn't do much to it other than open the trunk & make it look like junk.
Davewilly Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Great job on the weathering! Very well done front windshield looks great also!
Scalper Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Really like the weathering you did. Looks real.
donb Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Great job on the weathering! Very well done front windshield looks great also!I agree! Nice
426-Hemi Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I'm not one for the "Barn Find" look........ BUT, that weathering job is PERFECT! NICE job!
espo Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Great job on the ageing. Just a little rust thru here and there, the flat tires really look realistic.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I really like this one!! Great work!! Nice job on the weathering!!
iamsuperdan Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Agreed. Excellent job on the rusting. Next time you do a Barn find junker, could you do a little "how to" on your technique? Love seeing the process others go through.
Metaldrumm Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Love the whole weathering job, very realistic looking
Mike C Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 You did a great job and made something out of junk anyway.
DumpyDan Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 That is really neat, but you should no better you left the battery in the car
72 Charger Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 New tires windows and battery she would be a driver Really nice work rust looks just right
Hubert Rollins Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Very nice weathering!!! In my opinion, weathered junkers have more personality anyway....
Belugawrx Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Best use of this model I've seen Mark Cheers
mchook Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 Thanks guys for all the great compliments.
Luc Janssens Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Great job, the only things I would've done different is dirtying the windshield showing the wiper marks and the backlite would be sugarlike christals on the packagetray..But that's just nitpicking cuz the body weathering is outstanding!
disabled modeler Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 I like it Mark...not all nice builds have to shine. I have had some that were only fit for this kind of build before too...nice job.
