James2
Back in the last days of many short track arena's they were left to their own demise or redevelopment. Along with the loss of the tracks many race cars were also abandoned and forgotten. Often times they were dismantled piece by piece or just left exactly as they were when retired. This one is a tribute to those cars that still remain behind Granddads shed, Service station or in a field somewhere. Like many race cars it stated out as one style, but was re-skinned with an old Chevy body. It has some missing parts, a flat tire, some tools and carb. Lots of rust and debris and a few nests I'm sure. At least the engine was covered! I'm happy to finish this it's been a WIP for to long. As always thanks for looking and your comments are welcome, +/- !
Dragline
In the right setting this would be epic. Great job.
bobthehobbyguy
Love it. Beautiful work. Really needs a backdrop to go with it. Always like seeing something different from the norm.

James2
Thx guys, one thing I didn't mention. I built this style so I could enter it in "Open Wheel Compition Class" and still tell a story without having to enter in the diorama class. Those military guys are tough! iBorg
I remember traveling on the backroads of Illinois and saw a lot of sprint cars that looked a lot like this. I have to agree with Bob Frias, "In the right setting this would be epic. Great job."
