ShawnS
Hi all, Here is the Datsun 240K that finished 7th in the 1974 Bathurst 1000 driven by Stewart McLeod and Doug Whiteford. It's the old Aoshima kit with decals from my own artwork printed by Custom Hobby Decals. I built it because it's different from my usual touring car builds and it's just something I liked the look of. Cheers ShawnS

TonyK
That is an excellent replica! And anything dealing with Bathurst is exciting to me.
TarheelRick
Very nice build, the paint work and everything about it is superb. Like the '63 Ford taillights. When I saw the title, the "K" did not quite register and I was expecting a "Z" car.
majel
Fantastic job! Very cool model of a subject not normally seen.
ShawnS
Thanks guys. 15 hours ago, TarheelRick said: When I saw the title, the "K" did not quite register and I was expecting a "Z" car. Yeah I know what you mean. Datsun didn't bless us here in Australia with fancy names like Skyline, Sunny, Bluebird etc.. we only got numbers 1000, 1200, 1600, 120y, 180B, 200B, 240K etc. It has led to a fair bit of confusion over the years.
