What all comes in the Land Rover kit? The Recovery truck

I'm assuming you are curious about the C 1 trans kit for the Revell Land Rover. I took a picture of the contents and attached it.

Hi Jim, the Iwata parts are what I call "recovery" parts for my HP-CS Eclipse. At some point, I took out the 0.35 mm set up and did the 0.5 mm conversion. After taking out the original parts I put them in a safe place. The kind of safe place where I have no idea where they are. These are two of the items I need to put it back to spec. I still need to get the 0.35 nozzle cap to complete it. LOL It was cheaper to buy these two parts at Hobby Lobby than to order them from Maple Airbrush.

I'm all too familiar with that "safe place" Bill. I've got many things in some of my own. Airbrush parts and other stuff. I've been having a horrible time lately seeing something or using it one day then the next time I look for it I can't find it. It's been a lot of I can't find it when I want it.

You probably stored them in the same safe place together with my original airbrush holder and a specific set of Pontiac wheels... 🙂

But not to be confused with the other dimension where photoetch parts and small scratchbuilt items fly into... 🤣

Yesterday, I arrived home from the NNL East. What a great time. On the way to the NNL, a stop was made at Hobby Lobby in Scranton. I bought the Revell Range Rover, some Createx Balancing Clear, and some Iwata replacement parts for my Eclipse. At the NNL, the first stop was at C 1, where I bought three trans kits. Also at the NNL, I bought the Monogram Porsche 904, the Revell '56 Chevy and some MCG photo etch saw blades. On the return trip home, we just had to stop at Ollie's in Watertown, where I bought the Monogram Lamborghini Diablo.

I was recently able to purchase 4 of my grail airbrushes. I've wanted them for a good while. The bad part was they all came at about the same time. It's hit my wallet hard. I have found that if you don't buy it when the opportunity presents itself you may wait a very long time for the next chance.

The first to arrive a couple weeks ago was a Binks Raven. It's chrome. I've wanted one to go along with the two Raven ll brushes I have which are black.

Yesterday's mail brought a Conopois model F from the UK. Whoever owned this one kept it in excellent condition. It looks like maybe 3 cups were used but the brush doesn't show signs of it. Neither does the needle. It did come with 4 spare needles as there is one under the brush, hose, small and large cups and lids for the large cups. The instructions, born on card and a brochure were also part of it. It looks like I got the total package that would have come with the brush, plus the extras.

This was the second most I've paid for an airbrush.

Today's mail brought this rOtring. The head does swivel so I can put the cup on the right. This brush looks to have never been used. And the cup is gravity feed, not siphon.

To give a size comparison I chose the venerable, greatest airbrush made ever, Paasche H as most members on here should be somewhat familiar with it.

The 4th brush I purchased was just shipped from Switzerland. It may take about a week or so to get here. I will post it when it arrives.

Ohhh nice!  I've never heard of the Conopois, but the moment I saw the picture it reminded me of the the rOtring.  Lo and behold, that was the next picture :)

Nice Raven as well!  Always liked the black Raven II.

Thanks,
Ismael

I bought my own belated birthday present from Ikea, after first stopping at Canadian Tire to replenish my supply of Super Clean. The unit from Ikea has 3 top drawers that are 18" x 24" x 3", and 3 bottom drawers that are 18" x 24" x 4". The bonus is that it has casters. This should accommodate all of my 10 mL bottles of paint (small Tamiya + Mr. Color).

I have a similar cabinet I got from Amazon. I use it to store sandpaper, Tamiya tape etc.  Probably be upgrading in the near future for a nicer one wider like yours.

What's the name of that Ikea piece? I like it, might need to go find one for myself!

I bought one of these old AMT 1/25 Mako Sharks in kit form some time back to hack into an XP-87, but when this pre-assembled one popped up for almost nothing, I figgered I'd like to have a "stock" one too.

The real XP-87 it's related to...

Three colours available: white, grey/turquoise, or wood black/dark brown. I bought the wood black/dark brown. It was listed online as unavailable at my local store. Supposedly the only colour available was white. I had white loaded on the cart, and as I was exiting the aisle I noticed the name Alex in different location. Read the label, and sure enough it was the same unit in the colour that I really wanted. I now know not to necessarily trust the online availability! LOL

My next project is to make row dividers out of foam core board.

I stopped at our  Wal-Mart here in town for an oil change on the 04 Malibu. To my surprise they had a fresh display of MODEL'S!  I spent $105.00 on these which includes a auto world 1/64 1970 Impala! which more than likely would have been closer to $250 if I bought the same models at the hobby shop in Fort Wayne Ind. Last time I was in that shop the amt display cases were close to $20.00 each!

Which Wal-mart was it?  The one on Lima at the north end of town had models last time I was in there.  Most around town don’t I don’t think.

I scored that complete paystar 5000 logger, complete s series, the built up paystar 5000 dump truck, and fire truck for $55 at the show! I haven't fully examined them yet, but they don't seem like glue bombs except for the dump truck.

I did the same last year at the US 127 Garage sales at the Van Wert fair grounds. I Bought two totes full of builts that needed put back together. On the truck side I got The Paystar logger w/trailer, Paystar dump truck, Original 4070 a, Transtar 4200, Kenworth  K123, Kenworth W900, White Freightliner COE, Plus the Monogram Mack A/C Texaco tanker, and Mack A/C stakebed truck. I need to find one of those S-series trucks, But the unbuilts on ebay tend to go for more than I can pay.

This just in!

So 30 years ago, I was introduced to airbrushing by my good friend Carlos. The very first airbrush I used? His Badger 150, which he still owns and uses to this day.  I eventually got my own airbrush, a Korean knockoff of the Badger 150.  It has been  great and it is still as good as new after 30 years of service.  But I always lusted after the real McCoy.  Today I finally got it.  The brochure has a print date of 1991 so this is from about that same time I started.

Wanted one of these for a long time, when I was a kid and a younger adult would of been no problem. Found this one on eBay for a decent price. Just need to finish stripping the paint.
