  1. I like it, excellent build. My brain thinks it's missing cycle fenders.
  2. that one's easy on this board, many here pay it forward all the time. thank you for being one of them.
  3. I think it turned out great, nice work.
  4. I'm guessing Pegasus Hali's or maybe "Hella's...(big-n-little)
  5. I planked a submarine (in my youth), a free-running pool experiment, 12" long.
  6. wow, don't know how I missed this thread for so long... http://
  7. those are some mighty fine "rivets" ya got there sir.
  8. I think I spotted some Tucker rear fender vents on the bottom image of this post, it's possible Harry Bradley was playing around with a custom Tucker... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101839#entry1422848
  9. I wonder if they have considered setting up a paypal account to receive donations, there are also a few other "Crowd funding" internet services that could be considered. I'm not an expert on them, I've just heard about them. Most modellers can spare $5 these days...that's usually the cost of a small vial of paint, if there was a way for them to easily donate $5 through a crowd funding internet app, it's possible the response may be surprising.
  10. well done replica!
  11. Since gravity usually does a good job of keeping hoods and trunks closed when sitting on a level flat surface, I'd like to suggest on future builds where you have opening hoods and trunks that figuring out a way to use magnets to keep the hoods and trunks open for display purposes may be a better use for your magnets. Configuring your magnets so the hoods and trunks are held open will remove the need for "prop rods" which are not needed on real cars due to the coil or torsion springs (and in a lot of cases these days, gas struts) used to hold them open.
  12. nice progress on stretching your skills
  13. man...I hate when that happens, but I hate it more when it happens to me.
  14. might want to re-think the engine location, maybe move it to the front where it can shine (and it won't be so tail heavy).
  15. not only is that a great looking carb, you have it mounted correctly...bravo sir! going with secondary boost venturi or not gonna waste time on something that won't be seen?
  16. The first thing that came to my mind was a Beatles song... "Help" As in, "Help, I need some body, not just any body."
  17. FYI, the roof on the K-Type Firebird/Trans-Am is not a separate piece (more than likely the Camaro version is the same) and being a snap kit most kit details are molded in.
  18. I suggest checking electronics suppliers; Digikey, Mouser and Newark for wire wrap (sometimes listed as wire jumpers also), I feel they will be cheaper than the other alternatives (but I have not made a comparison). I'm fairly certain they will have the best selection of gauges, colors and solid/stranded.
  19. since you're doing it in red at least you won't have to deal with red plastic "bleed thru", you may even want encourage it...
  20. please continue
  21. nice job on the research and purchase. if the Dell has space inside for a regular laptop hard drive, suggest adding in an additional larger second disk drive for better file storage, a 500gb second disk is usually less than a comparable SSD.
