  1. be careful what you wish for, we have "hundred year floods" just about every two or three years lately.
  2. the monogram 30 ford woody is the only kit I know of that has decent looking wheels like that but it's 1/24 scale.
  3. wait...is Britney a scale quarter of an inch too short? I guess I would have to agree that would not be a good choice to buy. by the way, how is Britney's rivet count?
  4. excellent build.
  5. the VW looks like the IMC release which included a front engine option with a separate custom frame for the front engine version.
  6. Hobby Bench on 19th Ave & Northern is a fairly well stocked model section even though they seem to focus more on RC stuff.
  7. it looks like something built for a movie that was never released. but then a little more reading shows Mr. Roth was branching out into racing..."way back when".
  8. I think that dual A-arm rod is sprung by the coil-overs seen in front of the engine, looks like a very complex (means more parts that can fail) front suspension system. tanks and other armored vehicles as far back as WWII had torsion bar suspension, it was far simpler to implement since it had fewer parts. I'm fairly certain passenger cars had that suspension also but don't have the personal encyclopedic knowledge that others in this forum have. the suspension shown in post#8 is marketed by Moal: http://www.moal.com/04_gallery/10moalchassis/index.php
  9. just remember to try it on some scrap plastic first.
  10. hey, we didn't say "FIX IT or NO BISCUIT!".
  11. would "clown" terminators be scarier than infiltrator terminators?
  12. Amazon has Judikins EP2-50 Embossing Powder in several colors, I have no idea what may actually be available in your neck of the woods.
  13. if you can get embossing powder, that may be a better option for the trunk and you may be able to get it in the color you need. if you can't get it in the color you need, I have seen other builders in this forum paint their flocking/embossing powder to get the desired color.
  14. the spelling police would like to point out that you can make use of this information to add a "g" to your topic title.

    My 1932 Fords

those are a couple great looking deuces. it looks like the front fender mounts on the Rat Roaster may have been swapped.
  16. isn't this one of Harry's builds?
  17. that is a perfect "daily driver"!
  18. I have to second what Tom stated, health drama is hard on everyone...not just the person having the health issue. Celebrate your mother-inlaw's life well by remembering the good things she did...like molding your wife into the person she is.
  19. well, they ARE staying with the theme of this thread...they DO seem to be "irked", and the title of the thread doesn't say they can't be irked at each other. I realized a while ago that most of the bickering on this forum is a waste of my time and electrons (which is why I don't do Faceborg, what a time sucker), and that is why I will try to restrict my responses to what pertains to the thread. Without mentioning names, I suggest to anyone that decides to read this whole post to consider doing the same. Notice that I said I will TRY, that doesn't mean I can't be baited...that means it will be harder to bait me.
  20. I was using a little 60's lingo but your "left turn at Albuquerque" works just as well.
  21. I think I may have to get a couple of these to keep on the back shelf... before their molds start to degrade. I'm a little saddened by the lump they put under the air cleaner, I'm guessing they think no one will want to build theirs without an air cleaner on the motor.
  22. I noticed the door handle doesn't have the "finger slot", I am curious why this is. I enjoy seeing your posts and have great respect for your skills and I'm not looking for ways to poke issues on your build. Is this just a missed detail or not worth dealing with? I only ask because of all the other great weathered details done on this build.
  23. really broad strokes...
