  1. These are from madmodeling.com, they're resin cast. Very well done I'm very happy with them
  2. Ok I have these carbs but I want to run fuel lines. In the pictures I've found it looks like the fuel inlet is on the linkage side. I thought fuel lines were always on the opposite side, does it matter? Here are a few pictures, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  3. Just a quick update, got my carbs yesterday from mad modeling and I have to say I'm very happy with them. There was absolutely no clean up needed. Also I want to add fuel lines but the pictures I've found look like the fuel line goes into the linkage side of the carb is that right? Any suggestions?
  4. I've used the decals from scale equipment, they look good but are very fragile and some spots kind of flaked off. I've had mixed results using waterside on side walls, some came out great and some had alot of silvering
  5. Shabo is gone. I've gone crazy trying to find some myself but no luck. Once in a while you can find them on eBay but other than that I hardly ever see them.
  6. Most of the kits don't have the greatest carbs but once in awhile you'll find good ones. Usually if I'm doing a build I like to leave the air cleaners off so the detail is visible, so I use aftermarket carbs. If I use the air cleaner ill just use the kit carbs. Here's a picture of an aftermarket carb from vcg resins it's a Holley 650 I think. The second picture has the same carbs but thise came out if my parts box and I don't remember what kit they're from. As far as detailing them ill use brass paint or the metalizer paint and try and drill out for fuel lines. Best thing to do is find good reference pictures.
  7. Thanks guys and girls ! the badges and scripts are decals from Keith marks. There are a few different ways to do them but the decals are the easiest for me.
  8. Thanks! Hopefully I can get the rest of the frame all masked off tonight and get it painted black. Maybe ill try and pick up some liquid mask, I've never used it before but hopefully it works without too much trouble.
  9. Has anyone tried this system ? If so how we're the results?
  10. Thanks for the kind comments. Shot the interior with the second color then with some dullcoat to take down the shine a little bit. Also started the foil on the seats and door panels
  11. Thanks much appreciated! Just a quick update got a little further on the dash, almost done
  12. Just started this one last week and figured I'd get some pictures up. So far got the body and interior painted both Pontiac engine blue. Also shot the frame edges with the same color to mimic the factory overspray. I'm in the process of masking off the frame so I can shoot it with black, does anyone have a better way of doing this it's kind of a pain lol. Seats and door panels are in the process of being masked for a darker shade of blue and so far I got some foil on the dash gauges. Thanks for looking.
  13. I've had issues with black myself, semi gloss black is no problem but I shot a body with classic black and got alot of orange peel. I've read a few posts on here saying flat colors tend to lay down smoother than the gloss ones so that may be worth a shot.
  14. Kris, thanks so much looking forward to my order
  15. Was gonna say go out and pick some up but it looks like you beat me to it lol. Great product, especially the buffing ones. You won't be disappointed
  16. Basically I'm just trying to find something that has good detail and that's practical for a 409. The car its going into is gonna be stock So the carbs pictured look like they may be perfect. Thanks for the info I think I'm gonna have to go order a set now lol
  17. The kit carbs are kinda lacking in detail ill get a picture of them up later. I do have a 64 tbolt kit so ill take a look at them. Thanks for the help
  18. Lol sorry didn't see the user name
  19. Thanks for the replies guys, I figured they looked too big that's why I asked, any suggestions on what to use?
  20. This is a 409 for the amt 62 bel air. I decided not to use the carbs from the kit so I was thinking about these. The question is are these too big for this particular engine?
  21. Thanks guys. Yes it is the revell kit the ks Pittman one.
  22. Thanks so much for the comments guys, very much appreciated!
  23. Just finished this one up. Paint is testors bright light blue with turquoise pearl ex in the clear coat. The decals are from slixx and a few from the kit. I kinda went my own way on this one and used whatever decals I wanted to make my own car, some are from the swc set and some are from a quarter panel sheet. Thanks for looking, questions and comments are welcome.
  24. Very nice! Where did you get the decals?
  25. Thanks so much or the kind comments guys. As far as the brake lines go I may run them if I'm feeling up to it, I've never done it before so I'm not too sure. The gauges are from the kit I just foiled them and added a little epoxy to make the lenses. The seat belts are tamiya masking tape painted black with photo etched buckles, I copied as close as I could the seat belt decal that came with the kit
