  1. I just grabbed mine from Hobby Lobby, thanks for leaving one for me Sam! LOL! Opened and checked it out, the cab is in there and all looks good!
  2. Looks very Harold and Maude! Crazy cool!
  3. Why is this thread not locked and buried?
  4. This? Looks like a cross between and S-10 and a Ford Ranger
  5. I have always wondered why they keep molding that lip on the front of the injector hat. Yes, the Revell hats are the most accurate out there.
  6. I just picked up one of these kits and I am definitely using your build as a guide! Nice job!!
  7. And here are the pics. Almost ironic that they are basing this kit on the Garlits car since Garlits called the Prudhomme car unsafe!!
  8. Sadly I think the Yellow Feather will be the MPC Garlits RED re boxed with new decals, and oh yes, a miniature model box to make it all better! LOL! Sad part is that I just sold a Garlits car at a kit show for $5 and it was sealed!! Now I have to buy it again for 5 times the price!! LOL!
  9. Well, this I do know, they make a lot less correction type kits for Tamiya products than they do for American Kits. Most aftermarket kits for Tamiya models are just to add more detail, not to correct the body, tires, wheels, engine and so on.... Even a Tamiya kit with sparse engine details can out shine most other kits with some proper detailing.
  10. Welcome to the board and that is one cool project! I have been thinking of doing the same thing but I am glad to see someone actually doing it!! Can't wait to see the finished product! Best of luck with your upcoming med procedure!
  11. Quite honestly, I am surprised that US model makers have not done this more. Instead we get "Fully" detailed kits with poor detail. Some engines look like total lumps and are for the most part never really seen. Sure you have the satisfaction of having built the engine, but, for what, you can see it most of the time. I never go around opening hoods on my finished builds, most of them are in boxes and are not seen at all. Tamiya has become the standard for kits, like it or not, and even with sparse engine detail, they still looks way better than most kits. But once again, if you don't like it, don't buy it.
  12. Well, might be able to make something cool out of it! Come on AMT, how about some drag parts!
  13. I now there is a Popular Hot Rodding Cut Away drawing of the car somewhere that shows the chassis pretty good. I will check and see if I have it when I get home.
  14. These are pretty nice kits and I can't wait to see what you do with it!
  15. That was weird, I replied to a different thread and I ended up here! Mods, are we having site issues?
  16. Bronco is new tool and the first time that model has ever been offered by a major kit maker.
  17. Tailgate is most likely closed due how they molded the body, less warpage when it is closed rather than open. Plus, I am sure you have a saw or X Acto lying about somewhere on the hobby bench. As for the tail lights, they appear to be on what looks to be the chrome tree, minus chrome. Just fill with clear red!
  18. Quite honestly, I think most of them look really goofy. I have been buying the more normal, real car, type stuff, especially the specialty stuff like this
  19. What other hobby can you spend almost $30 for a kit and then try to sell it at a kit show and you can't even get $5 for it! LOL! We can be some seriously cheap types when it comes to kit shows. We balk at high prices at the stores and then balk at low prices at kit shows!
  20. Dang! I had that Supra kit! Should have kept it.
  21. Great! Now I am nervous about opening my Moebius kits!
  22. Cripes a Mighty! First we complain about not enough pictures, bad pictures and very little info, now it is too many pictures? Come on! Like Dann said, move on if it bothers you or you don't care. Simple And to everyone, just keep doing what you are doing, its ok!
  23. Sadly large models do not have the support of the more normal scales, 1/25 and 1/24, and when they do release large scale kits, sales seem too be on the low side despite the clamoring for such kits. As a 1/16th scale fan, this is sad to me.
