  1. The axle looks pretty narrow here.
  2. Wow! That kit was the bane of my existence when I was kid! Glad to see it built up that nicely!
  3. That is sharp! Love the paint and wheels, they really pop
  4. They where first issued in the Revell of Germany type boxes. I bought one quite a few years ago
  5. I don't see anything there worth $50
  6. They are not using full Carbon Fiber bodies, the main body shell is mostly Ultraglass, a new and improved form of fiberglass. Carbon Fiber is light and strong, but, it is a bit of overkill for cars that change skins so often, it is mostly used for doors, scoops, hoods and other interior parts. Top Fuel and Fuel Funny Car mostly use Carbon Fiber due to the stresses they face vs. a Pro Stock car.
  7. Oh that is nice! Very nice! You caught the look perfectly!
  8. Glad there are no stock parts in it. Less stuff to get stuck with!!!
  9. Well, that kit is supposed to be an early version of a Funny Car, so some of the items you mentioned are no longer necessary. At this point in the history of Drag Racing, there was no funny car class and most of these cars where built as "Match Racers" and pretty much anything went.
  10. Meanwhile, in West Chicago... "That fresh batch of Ramchargers is almost ready to ship, Captain!"
  11. Sadly the coolest car they made back then was actually made by Mitsubishi!
  12. I am picking it up! But not from Hobby Lobby!
  13. I see this as the next F and F Charger! Might even be a turbo!! LOL!
  14. I would love to see the Dodge get restored. I was not that crazy about the Monster Truck deal either, I thought they looked pretty dumb, not realizing that the tools where being wrecked. And I would also like to see the Datsun tool restored.
  15. So when are these coming back! LOL! Maybe the parts for this are still in it
  16. Wow, this might be the first one of these I have seen built! And I like the results! Nice Job!!
  17. I first test spray questionable Tamiya cans to check for that very reason, poor pressure that causes splatter and clumping. If it does that, I will decant the paint, thin it and shoot it through my air brush. It can be a pain, but I get to save the paint and keep moving. Great build! I look forward to your next update!!
  18. I bought mine and I like it. I will also buy the more regular version when that gets issued. Like I always say, vote with your wallet. Take it or leave it, it is that simple.
