  1. Just a photo I dug up, wish I had that kit! But I am looking for one!!
  2. Yeah, he has been pretty busy lately, it took a few tries for me to get him on the phone last week. But, he is still running, albeit slowly, and chugging along. I thought I had a show flyer, but, I must have given it to someone else. All the info, other than the date, is still the same as it is on the web site.
  3. Wasn't someone looking for cast ready bodies in the wanted section or aftermarket? Because I want one!
  4. August the 13th at the same location in Carlsbad. I will post a flyer later as I do not have one at work.
  5. Well, I heard that the actual car they used for the Police car reference is here in San Diego, CA and it is in San Diego Police Markings, which are just like the box art, minus the Virginia decals. Maybe I can track down the car at one of the local car shows soon and double check all that. But it makes for a good story!
  6. And just for kicks, here is the collection! I have all but the Gator one.
  7. Guess what? LOL! I was a kid when it came out and I did watch it, thought it was far out! LOL! Now I watch the re-runs once in a while and it is pretty goofy
  8. I know that some around these parts like to praise anyone and anything and sometimes they are doing a great disservice to some builders by making them think they are doing great, and thus they think they are doing well and will not push to increase their skill set. And some like to pounce on those for saying what they really feel about a build. Hence, if I don't like it, I will not comment. I have been taken to task for being honest on some builders. Whenever I post a build, I like to hear honest comments, good or bad. And if you don't wish to comment, that is fine as well. My biggest beef is still poor pictures with a "Sorry for the bad pictures" note attached. There is really not much of an excuse not too take better pics.
  9. Here you go! I did not have my ruler handy, so I used a Sharpie for scale. I think it is in the 1/12th scale zone
  10. Very cool! I just picked one up last night at my Model Meeting! Another Grail done!
  11. Oh! That GTO! LOL! I was thinking Pontiac!
  12. This is a great project! So, which GTO chassis are you referring to?
  13. My question is why do threads like these keep popping up in the News and Reviews section. How is this either? I keep seeing these kinds of postings here and wonder what part of it pertains to the section. This question could be easily asked in the General section
  14. Yikes, this is a reply to a post from a year ago or so! With the exception of the California Charger Dragster, all the Revell Front Engine kits in 1/16th are basically the same issue. The only difference between them and the Cal Charger is the body, engine dress parts, wheels and decals. This car ran a 392 vs. the 426 in the kits. But you can fudge it by using the engine from a Cal Charger kit or an aftermarket 392 I forget who did the decals, I can check when I get home, but they are really nice and should use them soon. Sorry, I will not scan someone else's work. If they where actual kit decals I would.
  15. It is a very simplistic kit, but, it has the potential to be detailed. Mine is not mint and has been started but I can take some pics and post them later.
  16. It should be, looks pretty stock on the box art.
  17. Oh that is nice! Great job and thanks for sharing!
  18. Prayers and condolences to his family, friends and the modeling community. Vaya con Dios
  19. By the title of your thread, I thought you meant "Cop Out"
  20. I will probably get one for the show biz connection and my habit of collecting show biz related kits.
  21. A friend of mine had one in High School, his dad picked it up for about $400 or so from a Sailor who was being deployed. It was not the cleanest or the rarest, but, it did have lots of room with the back seat gone and the back turned into basically a wagon! He didn't have license so he asked me to drive us around in it, The only problem with the arrangement was that I myself did not have a license either! It was jacked up in the rear with Cragars all around and super wide tires on it. Yeah, it was a fun car to tool around in and with only a 302, 2 barrel and an automatic trans, we couldn't get into too much trouble. Good times!
