  1. It looks great! I need to build one for the sake of my childhood. Back in the late 70's I found one of these kits at a thrift store for a $1! Bought it and then discovered that it has not Assembly Instructions! Yup, I assembled about 60 percent of it just using the images off the box and guessing, but I was unable to get it all together. But, I do have a current issue of it and it will be built!
  2. Nailed it! Now you need someone asking if its for sale! LOL!
  3. Well, they where not lame to everyone and the Deal's Wheels box art was great! I am sure they would have been more sturdy if Revell had done them in 1/24 vs. 1/25, but then again, they are only model kits, not really toys.
  4. So, a quick dry fit of the new Mobius Chevy II Chassis was in order, but, the rear wheel wells have to be trimmed to fit inside the wagon, so I stuck the wagon pan in the Mobius body and this is how it fits. Really well!
  5. They have been at my LHS for a few days now, and selling fast!
  6. About a year ago actually.
  7. I use those boxes, or anyone else's, all the time! Just split them at the seam and turn them inside out. Then all yo have is a plain brown box. I have received plenty of packages where someone has done exactly that with them.
  8. And I think he is no longer on the board. Last posting was back in 2019
  9. Got my Atlantis 1/16 Funny Car tire sets today. They look great and are a big help for those with bad Revell tires in their old kits. And no, there is no lettering on them.
  10. Bluetooth Frame Rails. It's the future!
  11. The box art is actually pretty cool. The side panel is a bit wacky, but that is what was in the kit.
  12. This is a dead horse, period. With no tooling left, except for odd parts, there is no hope that anyone like Atlantis will resurrected it. Scott never had, or will have, the necessary funding to do such a thing as bringing it back. Yes, there are resin kits out there, and that is great if you really want one, but for some of us that really don't care that much and don't really want one, that is not an issue. I know, we said there would never be a Rommel's Rod or a Tijuana Taxi again, and they came back, but, they where done by the parent company of those kits, not some guy in a garage. And unless Revell Germany, who is now technically the parent, has a huge change of direction, this is a dead player. But, I know there will be questions about his again soon by someone who doesn't know much about it, this thread will resurface in a couple of years again.
  13. Well, they only really destroyed the body and hood to make the Funny Mustang, so I think the innards would have survived pretty much intact, like the Olds parts of the recently re issued Cutlass. So I highly doubt they made new innards or are using the notchback parts. Gives you hope for the '65 Chevelle
  14. Whoops! Did not notice that the vid was already posted!
  15. Box Art I would like to find...
  16. Oh yeah! The Union Model kits! Or more accurately, the Union Models Re Issued kits! Quite a few U.S. molds found their way into their collection. And featured pics of some very nicely done builds!
  17. I know it came in the Buick Wagon, but I have never seen it in the Pick Up
  18. I wonder if they have the Revell Snap tooling? The Revell Snap Funny Car had a more current Buttera style chassis, while Monogram kept the Logghe style unit.
  19. Yeah, the cheap part is currently going away rather quickly. My LHS has the Round 2 Surf Wagon, AKA Ecto 1, for the meager price of $49.99! Yes, the low detail, pretty much a snap together, old kit, for $50 bucks! For a few bucks more, I can the get the AMT Transit Mixer! But I am sure that will be going up when they get a restock.
  20. Oh yeah! Good memories of some fun little kits! Thanks, Atlantis!
